Kaffy the dance queen steps out with youth empowerment challenge project Posted: 14 Mar 2011 04:40 AM PDT Celebrated Nigerian dance artiste, choreographer and Guinness world record holder Kafayat Shafau popularly known as Kaffy is not your regular entertainer considering her unique talent, track records and line up of projects aimed at motivating the youths and challenging them to attain their best creatively and intellectually especially in the music and dance sector. In a matter of weeks Kaffy Knockout Concert, a youth empowerment music and dance challenge will start receiving entries from eligible Nigerian youths in the form of written essays to enlist in the challenge that will feature a top ten selection, workshop/seminar and a grand finale concert. At the end of the process the project aims at selecting two individuals (youths) as winners and empower them by giving them structure and financial aid to enable them advance in the study of their interest in music and dance to establish them as a brand. According to Kaffy the project will encourage education, fitness and creativity among youths. Full details of the challenge and the logo will be unveiled officially at a press conference slated for Next week at the Silverbird Galleria Lagos. Kaffy (Kafayat Shafau) is known as the Dance Queen. She and her dance group, Zebra, made it into the Guinness Book of world records in 2006 for dancing for amazing 53 hours, 30 minutes, non stop. Born in lagos, Kaffy was educated in the UK and Nigeria. After secondary education dance found her, and she's never looked back. She has carved a niche for herself and a name to reckon with in the present Nigeria music industry looking at corporate bodies and established Nigerian music superstars and shows organizers that makes up her client list. Few days sgo, Nicki Minaj revealed to fans via Twitter that she was shooting a new video however, intended on keeping the title of the song top secret. Nigerian model Toyin Koyejo was hired as the leading man for the video, however was removed from that position after he took to Twitter to give details on the video shoot and announce the name of the song; "Super Bass". After Toyin revealed information on the new video via Twitter, a member of the crew angrily approached him and informed him that he had violated his confidentiality agreement by tweeting the information, and was almost fired on the spot! However, After he apologized multiple times, he was removed from his role as the leading man in the video and placed in a background spot while a fellow model called Atreyu will be the leading man. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Fast rising R&B sensation Praise Adejo popular known as Praiz who has recently been linked with X3M Music as their latest signee celebrated his birthday on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Fluid lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The venue, which was bombarded with popular Nigerian artistes such as M.I, label mate Overdose, Terry Tha Rapman, Brymo, Loose Kaynon, Iyanya, DIPP, Harrysong, Andre Blaze, Jaywon, Femi and others industry personalities, models, vixens, TV show hosts and many more, was filled with the atmosphere of fun and naughty play. The crowd rendered a birthday day song to the birthday boy who wore a beaming smile all through the night and in a surprise turn; he rendered a powerful birthday number to another birthday celebrant – Afrikim. A toast was made to Praiz and X3M Music by the short black boy M.I and Andre Blaze. In similar fashion, they lauded the efforts of X3M Music picking up Praiz at a point where he was just about to fully launch his career. Andre Blaze then teased M.I by saying it was Praiz that made his song 'Epic' truly epic.
