Micheal Jackson's Doctor 'Conrad Murray' Denied Bail by Judge

Los Angeles Superior Court judge Michael Pastor has turned down Dr. Conrad Murray's request to be released until his involuntary manslaughter conviction appeal is heard.He said Murray must stay in jail pending his appeal because he might flee if allowed out on bail.

Murray, 59, began serving a four-year jail term in November last year after being convicted by a jury of the involuntary manslaughter of the "Thriller" singer.

Murray, who was not in court for Friday's hearing, had asked for bail, house arrest or electronic monitoring pending his appeal, which he said could take more than a year to be heard.

She filmed scenes at a house and church, similar to the one she grew up in, and sat down with her co-star Jordin Sparks during an interview with ET

Sparkle is a remake of the 1976 film; about three girls who form a band and deal with the dark side of fame. The film features an all-star cast which includes Cee-Lo Green and Mike Epps and will be released in August 2012 in the US .

Late 80s-Mid 90s pop singer Mike Okri is ready to rock the Legend Night at Niteshift Colliseum .

The Omoge Crooner presently on holidays from the United States will be on the bandstand as guest artiste on Friday 24 February at the first Legend Nite in 2012, holding at the Niteshift Coliseum,opebi,Lagos.

The show which held every last Wednesday of the month has been repackaged and moved to the last Friday of each month begining from this week.

The Legend Night starts 8PM till dawn.

Award winning movie producer and director Lancelot Imasuen is finally set to premiere Adesuwa in Nigeria in few weeks', as preparations are in place for a talk of the town premier.

After a successful premiere in London at the Odeon cinema Greenwich, the movie is finally set to hit cinema in Nigeria in grand style later in the month.

The brain behind this historical movie, Lancelot Imasuen who over the years has being responsible for a countless amount of blockbuster movies such as Private Storm, Bent Arrrows, Home in Exile, Entanglement, Wrong Desire, Games Women Play, Private Sin amongst others, is set to release this movie in grand style in major cinema houses from Lagos, to Benin and Abuja and around the globe.

The movie which is based on a true life story, centers on a vassal chief Obi Olise who demeans his throne because of a woman that has already being betrothed to Oba Akengbuda Of Benin. Princess Adesuwa famed for her unrivalled beauty and the betrothed to the king and ruler of the Benin Empire was abducted.

It features a top notch cast, which includes veteran actor Olu Jacobs, Ngozi Ezeonu, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Cliff Igbinovia, Kofi Adjorlolo, and Iyobosa Olaya. Lavishly filmed, and featuring remarkable visual effects, the movie takes Lancelot into the memorable past of the Benin Kingdom to bring a tale of lust, passion, and betrayal.

Ini Edo Premieres 'I 'll Take My chances' in Lagos

After enjoying a talk of the town reception when it premiered in the city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, the movie I'll Take My Chances is now set for a Lagos premiere on Friday 24th February, 2102 at the Silverbird Cinemas, Lagos.

This is the first movie that the United Nations Youth Envoy on Environment will be producing, this she did in style with Emem Isong, one of the most respected hands in the Nollywood.

Having enjoyed a grand premiere in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital at the banquet hall of the Meridien hotel to be precise on Saturday 24th September, 2011, the movie is now expected to draw a larger crowd to it than it did at the Uyo premiere.

The dance themed movie boasts of an impressive cast of Ini Edo, Bryan Okwara, Sam Loco Efe (of blessed memory), President of ANTP Prince Jide Kosoko, Biola Williams, Lilian Ikpe, and dance act Ashleigh Clark among others.

The movie was directed by Desmond Elliot, a versatile actor. The movie tells the story of IK, a young theatre arts graduate, who majored in dance in the U.S. He hopes to stage a drama, but lacks the fund to get through with it, and he seeks the help of his girlfriend, Giselle. However, IK has to go for his youth service in a village in Cross River and there he meets the beautiful Idara (Ini Edo).
