Today 16th of June,2011 is Late Tupac amaru shakur's 40th Birthday as he was born on 16th of June 1971 at East harlem section of Manhattan in new york city. Shakur's professional entertainment career began in the early 1990s, when he debuted his rapping skills in a vocal turn in Digital Underground's "Same Song" from the soundtrack to the 1991 film Nothing but Trouble and also appeared with the group in the film of the same name. According to Guiness Book of Records 2004, he is the highest selling rap/hip-hop artist selling over 67 million copies worldwide with his albums like 2pacalypse Now,strictly 4 MY N.I.G.G.A.Z,Thug life volume 1,Me against the world,All eyez on Me,The Don Killuminati:7 days theory. Tupac's post humous albums like Re u still down, Greatest Hits, still i rise,until the end of time, better dayz,Tupac ressurection,Loyal to the game,pac'slife were also released by his mother/manager ,Afeni shakur . The album launch concert has been scheduled for Sunday June 26, 2011 at the prestigious Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos. Paul Adefarasin, the senior pastor of House on The Rock Church and the executive producer of the album collaborated with some of Nigeria's leading musicians on this project. The most popular among them are Sammie Okposo, Niki Laoye, Timi Dakolo, Segun Obe and Saxophonist Mike Aremu. The album which was recorded in the finest studios across the world has the production imprints of great producers like Cobhams Auquo, Rotimi Akinfenwa, Flo, Darasen Richards, Nichola Brown and Wole Oni. According to Paul Adefarasin, "producing this album has in every sense been an epic journey. Not just in terms of the time it has taken to record the album itself, but more so in the evolution of Chosen Treasure from a small and diverse motley crew to the close knit family who have come to truly believe that all things are possible with God". He said further that "the process mirrors in many ways the seasons we must all go through in life, as God shapes and moulds us into hit-for-purpose vessels that can carry his presence and reflect his glory. The songs are as varied as the amazing gifts of those who wrote, arranged, performed and produced them. In truth, it is the plethora of circumstances we go through in life's walk that enables us to witness the many facets of God's awesome nature ranging from His mercy, grace, provision and power. For undeniably, it is in Him we live and have our being". The album boasts of 16 tracks which are Stumbled, Get Ready, I Still Believe, Change, Fight, God of My Praise, Champion, among other great songs. One of the tracks on the album, Fight featured international gospel star, Chevelle Franklyn. Aliko Dangote (President, Dangote Group) are the latest inspirational influencers to sign up for the MTV Base Meets…with MTN TV series. The news was announced at an exclusive media preview of MTV Base Meets…with MTN hosted by Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, MTV Networks Africa and Serame Taukobong, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN. Sir Richard Branson, Ben Murray-Bruce and Alike Dangote join Heads of State President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (Liberia) and President Paul Kagame (Rwanda), and Julius Malema (President, African National Congress Youth League) among the prominent influencers to feature on the upcoming series of MTV Base Meets…with MTN, which premieres across Africa on 18 July 2011. Two more influencers will be announced shortly.
