       The  First Yoruba Movie Academy awards held yesterday June 3 at the New June 12 cultural centre Kuto Abeokuta ,Ogun state.Many top yoruba actors and actresses attended the award ceremony.
   Funke akindele won best actress in a leading role while odunlade adekola walked away with Best Actor in leading role.

BigBrother-StarGame- DKB and Zainab Disqualified,Sent Packing

   Ghana's DKB and sierra leone's Zainab have been disqualified from StarGame for contravening the violence rule. When Big Brother made the announcement, DKB was in the Diary Room while Zainab was curled in the Glass House 
     BigBrother told DKB after reviewing the footage "DKB , you have been disqualified from the game for contravening the violence rule. You must pack your bags immediately, and take them to Storeroom"
  To Zainab, Big Brother said; "having reviewed the footage very carefully, Big Brother can come to no other conclusion than that your provocation of DKB contributed substantively to the incident. For this reason, Big Brother has concluded that you have also been disqualified.

  The violence rule states that any Housemate who becomes physically violent will be removed from the house immediately.
    This means that Sierra Leone is officially out of the game while Ghana is now dependent on Keitta.

     A scuffle has broken out between ghana's DKB and seirra leon's Zainab for the second time and today it turned out to be violent as DKB slapped Zainab in the face!
   DKB in his pants charged at Zainab who was seated in the kitchen with Goldie, Lady May, Prezzo and Roki accusing her of interfering with his privacy.
   DKB alleged that Zainab peeped at him while he was getting ready to shower. At first, Zainab thought it was a joke and so did the other housemates, however, DKB was determined and tempers were already high.
  "Never do that again, next time i will slap you," fumed DKB. Meanwhile, Zainab was not ready to take DKB's warnings as she provoked him to go ahead and slap her, DKB raised his left arm at her and slapped her in the face.
   Prezzo and Roki tried to calm the situation down, however it was hard to calm down either DKB or the already sobbing Zainab.
  However, they managed to separate the two and shortly Big Brother summoned DKB to the Diary Room.
   Biggie assured housemates that he saw everything and that he was going to get to the bottom of the matter.However, Zainab was whisked off to the garden where she was consoled without much success.
   Other housemates were not happy with DKB's reaction and Maneta was over heard saying that if Biggie does not do anything about the matter, they would do 'something' about it.
       DKB seems to have broken Big Brother rules, housemates are not allowed to get physical with fellow housemates, he may therefore face Big brother's wrath!
   Both DKB and Zainab were nominated for eviction at the upville before the scuffle.
  Currently a decision is being made on whether either or both of them will be sent home and an official press release will be issued.

'The Hunger Games' Wins Big At The 2012 MTV Movie Awards -Full List

Russel Brand hosts MTV Movie Awards
    
   The "2012 MTV Movie Awards", which took place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles last night (3 June 2012) immersed fans in the magic of the movies by providing unexpected moments from a stage fashioned as a futuristic drive-in.
    The show host Russell Brand set the tone for a night of surprises, which saw the most wins of the night going to "The Hunger Games", which scored four wins in the Best female,Best Male,Best fight,and Best On-Screen Transformation categories.
    Second up was "Bridesmaids", which won two awards while, in a fitting close to the Harry Potter franchise, Emma Watson was on-hand to accept Best Cast and the first-ever socially-voted Best Hero popcorns for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
    This year's newest categories also saw big wins, with Jennifer Aniston being honoured in the On-Screen Dirtbag category, the cast of "Bridesmaids" taking home Best Gut-Wrenching Performance (for the flick's infamous food poisoning scene), and LMFAO winning Best Music for "Party Rock Anthem" in "21 Jump Street."
     The final award went to "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1" in the Movie of the year category.

Miss Rhode Island 'Olivia Culpo' Crowned Miss USA 2012

Miss rhode Island Olivia culpo wins Miss USA 2012
       20-year-old miss  Rhode Island Olivia Culpo was crowned  Miss USA 2012 sunday night  and will represent the United States in this year's Miss Universe pageant. 
    Olivia Culpo topped a field of 51 contestants on Sunday to take the title at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
     Culpo is a 2010 graduate of St. Mary Academy Bay View, an all-girls Catholic school in Riverside, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.She is currently a Boston University sophomore and will take a year off from her studies to tackle her duties as Miss USA and represent the nation in the 61st Miss Universe contest in December.
     Rounding out the top five contestants were first runner-up Nana Meriwether of Maryland, second runner-up Audrey Bolte of Ohio, third runner-up Jade Kelsall of Nevada and fourth runner-up Jasmyn Wilkins of Georgia.

   Popular dancer Kafayat Shefau popularly known as Kaffy got married to her fiance Joseph amey known as pappy J today June 2,2012 .
   A nikkai ceremony was held followed by the reception at bespoke Event Centre ,Lekki lagos. The ceremony was well attended by many celebrities.The couple has a son together.
