   Popular drama  series Village headmaster creator ,Ambassador segun olusola is dead . He died thursday evening at about 6:30 pm after a brief illness. 
    He was 78.  Olusola was a broadcaster,former Nigerian ambassador to ethiopia and founder of African Refugees Foundation.

   The Late Whitney Houston's mother ,Cissy Houston will perform a tribute to honour daughter at the 2012 BET Awards . 
     Cissy was recently added to the list of performers of the award to be hosted by samuel L. Jackson on july 1,2012 and will be joined on stage by many top female singers .
     MMG leader Rick Ross and his artists Meek Mill and wale ,Kanye west's G.O.O.D Music, D'angelo have also been  added to previously announced performers . 
The BET Awards airs live from The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

     A leading private school headmistress has said that Kim Kardashian's title as the "hottest woman in the world" in a men's magazine sums up "almost everything that is wrong with Western society."
Dr Helen Wright, headmistress of St Mary's Calne, a girls boarding school in Wiltshire tells an education conference this week that the US reality TV star is part of a culture which sexualises women at an early age.
 This culture, which is rife on TV, the internet and in magazines, sends the message that physical appearance is more important than character, according to Dr Wright.
"I have spoken out a lot over the last two years about the increasing dangers of premature sexualisation of young people, and the objectification of women which accompanies this," the Telegraph Uk quoted her as saying.
"It is not too strong a statement, I venture to suggest, to say that almost everything that is wrong with Western society today can be summed up in that one symbolic photo of Miss Kim Kardashian on the front of Zoo magazine.
"The descent of Western civilisation can practically be read into every curve (of which, you will note, there are indeed many). Officially the hottest woman in the world? Really? Is this what we want our young people to aim for? Is this what success should mean to them?" she added.
     She said that Kardashian is famous for "the reality TV series, 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians,' for hanging out with the rich and famous, for a sex tape, a 72-day marriage and a rather ample backside."
"What is she telling our young people about life? As a society, we have clearly attached a value to her, and there may be some messages about hard work buried in there somewhere - I expect she has to slave in the gym to keep that posterior in shape - but these are very hidden messages, buried under the other messages surrounded by glitz and sparkle," she said.
 However people's obsession with celebrities such as Ms Kardashian means that pupils are "soaking up a diet of empty celebrity and superficiality", Wright said.

    Contrary to reports that spread like wildfire few weeks ago that pop duo P Square has acquired a private jet , their publicist has  disclosed that the music stars  do not own a private jet .
    The duo's publicist Bayo Adetu while  talking  to Peace FM Ghana disclosed that it was not true that P-Square had acquired a private jet but rather, the group had a deal with a private jet company, who had designated one private jet to it to use when it deemed it necessary, stressing that Peter and Paul did not own it.
"Concerning the private jet, I think it's been added to P-Square's entourage because we have a deal with a private jet company, so I mean whenever P-Square has any official show, they are entitled to travel with the private jet anytime any day".
When asked about P Square's recent collaboration with American rapper Rick Ross,he said  it was a big collaboration and was part of  official contract with Akon's Konvict Music which involves  both of them  working together with several international artistes.
    He also cleared doubts that the recently signed Universal deal was only limited to South Africa and not  Worldwide.
   "I think there was some misinformation because it is a worldwide contract, but the only thing is that it was signed in South Africa so the representatives from South Africa must have transferred the documents back to their headquarters, which of course, is worldwide.It is not limited to South Africa or Africa, it's a worldwide thing"

Johnny Depp To Pay Vanessa Paradis £100million to Keep Split Amicable

       Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is going to give Ex-lover Vannessa paradis a huge sum of money .
        The pirates of the carribean star is said to be paying the French singer/actress £100million in a bid to keep the split as amicable as possible for the sake of their children, according to The Sun .
 Depp's networth is more than £200million. Report says since the couple didnt marry before splitting ,Vanessa wouldn't be able to simply claim 50 per cent, child support payments and alimony .
       However,the partner would have to file a civil suit and go to court but Depp is expected to hand over the huge sum anyway in an attempt to keep the split amicable.
     Depp and paradis announced they were splitting on Tuesday after months of denials.  They met in 1998 but never married during their 14-year relationship but lived together with their two children in France. Depp's most recent film credits include "The run diary and "Dark Shadows." He is set to star as Tonto in the big-screen take on "The Lone Ranger," due next year.

"Halloween" Actor Richard Lynch Dies at 76

   "Halloween" actor Richard Lynch, who became a staple in horror and science-fiction movies with his scarred facial features, has died at age 76, his spokesman said on Wednesday. 
      Lynch's representative, Mike Baronas, told Reuters that Lynch's body was discovered by one of the actor's friends, who had stopped by Lynch's house in Palm Springs, California, after not hearing from him in days. She found the door open and Lynch lying on the kitchen floor, "cold and lifeless."
      Baronas said no investigation is being held into the death of the actor and his body was sent directly to a funeral home. Lynch, who was born in New York City in 1936, made his name playing villainous characters in movies such as 1973's "Scarecrow," 1988's "Little Nikita" and 2007's installment of the "Halloween" horror franchise, directed by Rob Zombie. Lynch also appeared in numerous television series in his five-decade career, most notably the sci-fi series "Battlestar Galactica" and "Galactica 1980."
     Lynch's face was permanently scarred in 1967 when he took the drug LSD and set himself on fire, something he spoke openly about in the documentary film "LSD: The Trip to Where?"
   His last role was in Zombie's upcoming film "The Lords of Salem," which is due to be released later this year.
