Whitney Houston Stars In Last Movie 'Sparkle" [Official Trailer]

   Stage 6 films has just released the trailer for sparkle,the last movie whitney houston starred in before her death. 
    Sparkle is a remake of the 1976 film of the same name, which centered on three singing teenage sisters from Harlem who form a girl group in the late 1950s. The remake takes place in Detroit, Michigan in the 1960s during the Motown era.

    The film stars Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Whitney Houston, Mike Epps, Cee Lo Green, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Vickie Winans and Omari Hardwick.Sparkle marks Whitney Houston's fourth and final feature film role,who died on February 11, 2012, three months after filming ended. The film will be dedicated to her memory.

Synposis
   Musical prodigy Sparkle (Jordin Sparks) struggles to become a star while overcoming issues that are tearing her family apart. From an affluent Detroit area and daughter to a single mother (Whitney Houston), she tries to balance a new romance with music manager, Stix (Derek Luke), while dealing with the unexpected challenges her new life will bring as she and her two sisters Sister (Carmen Ejogo) and Dolores (Tika Sumpter) strive to become a dynamic singing group during the Motown-era.
 Sparkle will be released in cinemas August 17, 2012.

Ashton Kutcher to Play Steve Jobs in biopic

    Ashton Kutcher will play Steve Jobs in a movie about the late Apple co-founder from his early days as a "wayward hippie" up through to his technology ventures, according to show business publication Variety.
  The independent film "Jobs" is based on a script by Matt Whiteley and will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern ("Swing Vote").
   A separate movie project about Jobs, based on the 2011 biography by Walter Isaacson, is being developed at Sony Pictures Studios. Kutcher, who replaced Charlie Sheen on the long-running television sitcom "Two and a Half Men," is scheduled to shoot the movie during the TV series' production hiatus.Kutcher's big-screen credits include "Valentine's Day," "What Happens in Vegas" and "The Butterfly Effect."

Dagrin's Documentary 'Remembering Dagrin' Set To Be Released

    This April marks the second year anniversary of Dagrin's death and to commemorate this, Gini the director of his only solo video, pon pon pon, is set to release an authoritative and informative documentary of the young rapper's life. 

   The clip is over an hour long and combines both known and never-before-seen clips and images of Dagrin. It contains interviews with most of the persons that crossed the path of the young man and contributed to his rise to fame in the Nigerian music industry. It is a real time presentation that paints a perfect HD picture with excellent voice narration and sequencing.
   The documentary seeks to further promote the works of the late rapper and act as a reference point for upcoming acts. It also aims to put an end to some of the mysteries which have surrounded the late young man's death.
     Aptly entitled,REMEMBERING DAGRIN, it comes under the auspices of Omoita Entertainment, an outfit founded by Gini who was much more than just a video director to Dagrin. "We were very good friends and he convinced me on his dreams and plans for his career and the Nigerian entertainment industry. Dagrin had plans of having his own crew made up of young artistes like him who are struggling through various adversities to make their voices heard. So OMOITA was created to also help artistes like him realize their dreams and carry on the dreams he had for Misofunyin Entertainment," Gini said.
    He also added that the name, "OMOITA," came from Dagrin who was popularly known as the C.E.O (Chief Executive Omoita) which was the title of his 2009 sophomore album which contained the hit track, "Pon Pon Pon," whose video, Gini directed. "Dagrin made me popular in the industry and I believe I owe him a duty to tell the real story behind some of his struggles that I witnessed. Not many people knew that we were already in the process of shooting the video of "Ghetto Dreams," feat Sossick, the first track of the album, on the day Dagrin died."

   Gini whose real name is Abiodun Olayinka is a video director and Film Maker who has done a number of notable works in the entertainment industry.

    Nigerian music living legend 2face Idibia will be performing again at a concert later this month . 
    The concert tagged " Buckwyld N Breathless Away & Beyond" is being organized by 2face's Hypertek Entertainment and Now Muzik.The concert will hold april 30 at the Eko Hotels & Suites ,V.I ,Lagos .
 Many top Nigerian artists are expected to perform  .The first Buckwyld & Breathless Concert was held at O2 Arena in London last november.
