    Juju legend ,Evangelist Ebenezer obey fabiyi celebrated his 70th birthday today April 3,2012 .An Interdenominational thanksgiving service and reception was  held at 10 Degrees Events Centre, Billingsway, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos and it was attended by dignitaries including Ex-Governors Alao Akala, Olusegun oshoba,  oba of lagos rilwan Akiolu,King sunny ade .

     Apparently,there was an interview going round in which nollywood actress tonto dikeh called igbo men nosy and other things .The report spread like wildfire but Tonto  has refuted the fabricated story . 
 Tonto tweeted :"I waz told I granted an interview with punch Newspaper sayin Igbo Men are nosy? #Confusedface# When Did this interview take place? Plz Disregard this story*Tnxxxxxx"




 She was reported to have said :
  First of all, it is nobody's business where my fiance is from. That out of the way, yes Benin men are great and very understanding. They are not sitting and judging you unlike an Igbo man that will want to be poke-nosing in everything you do. You make your money and the Edo man is not interested in your personal affairs . If I keep waiting for an Igbo man I will just end up eternally single.

Evangelist Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi Turns 70

   Today April 3,2012  marks the 70th birthday of  Juju Icon  Evangelist Ebenezer Remilekun Aremu Olasupo Obey-Fabiyi .Obey who is nicknamed Chief commander was born in Idogo, Ogun State, Nigeria of Egba-Yoruba ethnic background. He is of the Owu subgroup of the Egba.

  He began his professional career in the mid-1950s after moving to Lagos under the tutelage of Fatai Rolling-Dollar's band, he formed a band called The International Brothers in 1964, playing highlife-juju fusion. The band later metamorphosed into Inter-Reformers in the early-1970s, with a long list of Juju album hits on the West African Decca musical label.
  Obey began experimenting with Yoruba percussion style and expanding on the band by adding more drum kits, guitars and talking drums. Obey's musical strengths lie in weaving intricate Yoruba axioms into dance-floor compositions. The Inter-Reformers band excel in praise-singing for rich Nigerian socialites and business tycoons. Obey, however, is also renowned for Christian spiritual themes in his music and has since the early-1990s retired into Nigerian gospel music ministry.
     Obey's 70th  Birthday celebration is scheduled to take place later today  at 10 Degrees Event Centre,Ikeja Lagos  with another juju icon King sunny ade Performing.
