The colombian singer /songwriter ,Shakira(shakira isabel mebarak ripol) has scored over one-billion views on YouTube.

The billion views is as a result of the combination of her three official youtube channels, Shakira, ShakiraVevo and Shakirasme. Her video for the World Cup anthem "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" has been viewed over 300-million times combining views on shakira vevo page and shakira

The popular singer /songwriter and producer ,jay martins recently changed his facebook marital status from single to engaged which attracted so many comments and wishes from his online friends.

This has been making his fans both home and abroad asking if he is getting married soon .

Super rapper Jay Z has teamed up with Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett to do business in movies.

Jay-Z has joined the Hollywood couple's production company Overbook Entertainment to develop and produce movies, with the first one being a remake of "Annie", which will star Will and Jada's 10-year-old daughter Willow.
"The Overbrook Entertainment family and I have a unified vision. We've already produced a Tony Award-winning play and we're developing a true superstar in Willow. This venture into film development and production is a perfect next step with teams that are accomplished, creative, and innovative," Jay z explains

The trio, who teamed up last year to bring hit musical "Fela!" to the Broadway stage, will co-produce the film.

The list of categories of this year's Ghana music awards has been released at a meeting held by the 2011 edition of Ghana music awards committee the British council hall recently.

Many new categories were suggested and added while most of the categories have been there before.
