A Timeline Of Red Envelope Day In The US : Ways Anyone Can Help

By Lisa Krempasky

Red Envelope Day started in 2008. A very faithful man who supported the cause of Pro-Life for over twenty years by sending more than a hundred emails and letters and placing just as many phone calls started it all. He deeply wanted to come up with a symbol for the pre-borns defense so he contacted friends, acquaintance's and anyone who would listen and advocated for the Pro-Life cause.

They decided to start a campaign to raise awareness of how Pro-Life is a great choice and let people know that those children who have died by abortion can be heard as well. Letters or cards in this case which the envelopes are colored bright red were to be sent out to the Nation's most influential people and all others who would listen in each state. This is still the goal today.

By the third month of 2009 these envelopes had been delivered by the millions to the doorstep of the White House as well as all across the Country. Just one person set this all into motion and got such a tremendous response from supporters joining in to make the voices of the pre-born heard by all that had the hearts to listen.

One drawback this campaign had in its first year of running was that many knew about it and the ones that did including many media people just kind of pushed it aside and moved on to other stories and news. Even the political leaders and others in influential positions turned their backs on it. This should be something that news as well as our leaders of government take concern with and have stands against and not just ignore the whole thing all together.

Soon the yearly Red Envelopes will be making their way out again and his time they are hoping for even more supporters and volunteers. This will be a way to give those that have no voice yet a chance to be heard and listened too. This time around more advertising campaigns and media groups are covering it and the best hoped for is that at least this time the President and the other National leaders will take notice to such an important issue that needs to be addressed.

This year pledge to get your voice and that of a pre-born child heard. All you have to do is go to the web site for Red Envelope and sign up. You have options of volunteering, sending as many cards as you like and even helping one of the many charitable organizations which make this campaign possible.

To make your mark and help on this Red Envelope Day go to the Red envelope web site. From there you can send your cards to a multitude of leaders and influential people within political arenas and more. These can be sent as a group or as an individual. All you do is put in your order and then the site takes care of everything else from addressing, stamping and delivering.
