| Photo:Actors Guild of Nigeria Hosts National Honours Recipients Posted: 08 Dec 2011 10:29 PM PST  Actors Guild of Nigeria hosted the Nollywood stars ( stephanie okereke, Genevieve Nnaji, Kanayo Kanayo , Osita iheme,Olu jacobs) that received the National honours last october. The event held at the November edition of O'jez Entertainment Forum awards series . Celebrants were bathed with highlife music performed by the reconstituted O'jez band with support from the Ever Green Band. Comedians MC Shakara, Elenu, Emeka Smith also performed at the event.More photos below

| Chocolate City Emerges Runner-Up at the 2011 Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship Posted: 08 Dec 2011 01:09 PM PST  Chocolate city executives ---SECURICO won the $100,000 grand prize Leading Nigerian entertainment conglomerate Chocolate City Group, which is the parent company to Chocolate City Music, Chocolate City Media and Chocolate City Distribution emerges the runner-up at the recently concluded Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship 2011, Held in Kenya. Chocolate City, was the only entertainment company to make it to the top ten shortlist, after a record 3,300 companies from 48 African countries with a minimum annual turnover of $1 Million dollars and a maximum of $10 Million dollars for at least 3 years consecutively submitted entries to compete for the Grand Prize of US $100,000 and six other prizes of US $50,000 each. The top ten companies made a formal presentation to an international jury of business leaders chaired by Malik Fal, Managing Director of Endeavor and some of Africa's most prominent entrepreneurs and investors, amongst whom are Kamal Budhabhatti, Grand Prize Winner of the 2010 Africa Awards; James Manyika, Director of the McKinsey Global Institute and Ayisi Makitiani, the CEO of Fanisi Capital and Chocolate City was announced as a runner-up, taking home 50,000 USD at the high-profile award dinner on the 8th of December 2011. SECURICO a company providing guarding services and electonic security solutions based in Harare zimbabwe won the US $100,000 grand prize while another company from Nigeria,Pepperoni Foods finished at fourth place and was also awarded $50,000 Chocolate City f,home to multi award winning stars like M.I, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Brymo, Dj Caise among others was founded in 2005 by Audu Maikori . © celebregion | ||||||||

Compliments like '' You look hot''…..''You look so gorgeous''…or gosh !!you are so fine!!!…could bring smile to the face of a depressed or an angry person. Beauty is something we all crave for,I often hear people say that very attractive people tend to get more job opportunities than the less attractive ones I really don't know true it is ,because a wise person will never give a dull person a job even if he/she is the most beautiful person in the world. .With all our resources ,we go after things that could really make us attractive and gorgeous. In our quest for beauty,it suprises me what so many people do in order to be beautiful.am not taking about the normal cleansing and moisturizing regimen we do every morning.I mean using dangerous bleaching creams, frequent and irrelevant plastic surgeries, excessive make up{ this actually make some ladies look like masquerade or dolls. Some people tend to chase after every new or latest product ,clothes,designer accessories ,even if it means running into huge depts or even living above their means…..all for just one thing ..''Beauty'',and it leaves me wondering that it's like most people don't even know what beauty itself entails. I think we all got it wrong from our growing or childhood days,when we read fairy tale books and most of the heroes and heroines described in these books were extremely handsome and beautiful.Also,the media sets exceptionally high standards for beauty.Standards that are hard to achieve for an average woman. We buy magazines and want to emulate the fashion models.the models in these mags looks flawless. We live in a culture which has corrupted the idea of beauty.It is important to realize that this is not real beauty. Have you ever wondered what you would look like if no one could see your physical body? If people only judged you by your manners,attitudes,intelligence,what would you look like? True beauty is not what you see on the outside,its what you see inside.Real beauty is not about having your eye make up,stylish clothes,or having a perfect body. Real beauty is about self acceptance.it's about loving yourself including your flaws.Real beauty is about being honest with yourself no matter how painful it is.Real beauty is loving your body,no matter how imperfect it is. Real beauty is not a size ,it's an attitude.Real beauty is believing that you are BEAUTY itself. Share your thoughts below!!!!  |
