Nollywood star actress Uche Jombo adds another year

   Nollywood star actress,screenwriter and film producer Uche jombo is a year older today ,December 28,2011 . Uche  was born in AbiribaAbia StateNigeria
   
   She is a graduate of Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Calabar, and Computer Programming from the Federal University of Technology Minna.
     Uche ventured into the Nigerian movie industry in 1999 in the movie Visa to hell and since then has over sixty movies to her credit which include, Price of fame ,love wins, Entanglement, Kiss and Tell and her recently released Damage.

Adele Sells Most Albums In a year since 2004

      The British singer-songwriter  Adele 's hit songs "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You" dominated playlists in 2011 and the "21" album ranked  as the year's top-selling album .
 Adele's record label ,  independent British label XL Recordings has just disclosed that the album  sold more than 5 million copies.

The last time an album topped the year-end chart with more than 5 million copies sold was in 2004, when Usher's "Confessions" moved 7.9 million, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

John Legend engaged to model Chrissy Teigen

   American singer/songwriter  John legend is now engaged to his four year girlfriend,model chrissy teigen . The singer's publicist said Tuesday that Legend proposed to his girlfriend, , recently in the Maldives.
 "John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives," Legend's rep,Cindi Berger, tells PEOPLE MAG.
    Legend has won nine Grammys and released four albums. Teigen was named "rookie of the year" in the Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue last year and  also has a food blog.The both have been dating since 2007.
John Legend turns 33 today  December 28.

Rapper Heavy D's Main Cause of Death Finally Revealed

     The cause of death of rapper Heavy D has been revealed to be a pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis. 

   According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has said that the rapper died after suffering a pulmonary embolism, more commonly known as a blood clot, in one of his legs, which was brought on by deep vein thrombosis. The rapper also suffered from heart disease, which could have also been a contributory factor. 

Days before Heavy died, he was on a flight back from Europe, after performing at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales.The Coroner's Office has classified the death as "natural.

    The Rapper whose real name was Dwight Arrington Myers, was pronounced dead on November 8 after being found unconscious at his Los Angeles home.

Rick Ross Cancels Performance For This Year's Calabar Festival

    American rapper, Rick Ross who has been scheduled to rock the annual Calabar  festival on a night tagged  Calabar Rocks Night  December 28, will  not be around to perform.

Superstar rapper Rick Ross has been forced to cancel a high-profile appearance in Nigeria, Africa.Rick Ross was supposed to perform during the Cross River State Calabar Christmas Festival, on December 28.

Although Rick Ross was forced to scrap several shows in October due to a pair of seizures, the rapper's reps denied his health was the reason behind the latest cancellation.
Ross' reps told AllHipHop.com that the Nigerian show has been cancelled due to "unfulfilled contractual obligations."
"Rick was very excited to attend this event as it is the biggest festival in Nigeria and he is quite disappointed that he will not be performing.
  Rick Ross was scheduled to perform  alongside the likes of P-Square, Banky W, Wizkid, Ojb Jezreel, Stunt and Julius Agwu at the U. J. Esuene Sports Stadium.
    In other news,Rick Ross has just been named Source Magazine's Man of the year and  graces one of the covers of the year end issue.

Justin Bieber,Lady Gaga Top 2011 Most Charitable Celebs List

   Lady Gaga tops 2011  annual Celebs Done Good list compiled by DoSomething.org ,  one of the largest organizations in the U.S. for teens and social change. Justin Bieber has the No. 2 spot, and George Clooney rounded out the top three.

    Lady Gaga  earned the first spot  by campaigning  all year for anti-bullying legislation, announcing the start of her own organization: the Born This Way Foundation. The charity is yet  to  be launched, but she's already got Barney's New York donating 25 percent of the proceeds from her Gaga's Workshop to the foundation. She also continued her advocacy for AIDS/HIV this year by joining MAC cosmetics to help create a new lipstick where 100 percent of sales benefit MAC AIDS fund.

   Bieber's contributions  raised him from last year's #10 spot to second place. He launched the Believe Charity Drive, which benefits multiple causes like music education and children's cancer. Additionally, Justin encouraged his fans to participate in the Pencils of Promise campaign Schools 4 All, which raises funds for new schools worldwide.

   Rounding out the top 10 are: Will and Jada SmithLeonardo DiCaprioMatt DamonEllen DeGeneresBrad Pittand Angelina JolieDwight Howard, and Demi Lovato.
