Survival story 'The Grey' Tops Weekend Box Office

 Survival story"The Grey" starring Liam Neeson topped the weeked movie box office charts with an estimated $20 Million.
    The Grey knocked last week chart topper , "Underworld: Awakening," to second place. The vampire and werewolf sequel starring Kate Beckinsale brought in $12.5 million from Friday through Sunday.New Katherine Heigl comedy "One for the Money" finished third with $11.8 million.

Madonna's Charity Set to Build 10 Schools in Malawi

     American Singer-Songwriter Madonna is ready to built ten schools in southern african country,Malawi .
      Nearly six years after it was created, Madonna's Raising Malawi charity is set to break ground on the construction of schools in the impoverished country, but they will be run by the local community, not the superstar's organization.
      According to organizers, work on the first school will start on March 30 in the Kasungu area, about 80 miles from the capital of Lilongwe, and all of the schools should be built by June 2013. Raising Malawi is providing $300,000 to the non-governmental organization buildOn to develop the schools. They'll serve about 1,000 boys and girls in the southern African nation.
  "This remains a very big priority in my life and I am excited that with the help of buildOn we can maintain our ongoing commitment to move forward efficiently," Madonna said in a statement provided to The Associated Press.

    Nigerian music superstar D'banj is one of the artists nominated for this week's MTV iggy's artist of the week .Other artists are iyadede,lady leshur,lulina, himuro yoshiteru.
     On tuesday morning ,artist with the most votes will be featured on the MTV Iggy homepage marquee along with a tell-all interview.
   MTV Iggy is a  MTV brand focused on global music and pop culture ,looking out  for amazing musicians that will be the next world music stars.

Last September ,Nneka was named one of the best 12 female emcees dominating mics everywhere by MTV iggy.

Christina Aguilera,Stevie Wonder,Al.Sharpton Honour Etta James at LA Funeral

     Hundreds of mourners gathered at a Los Angeles-area church on Saturday to remember rhythm-and-blues singer Etta James, saying she overcame great personal and professional hurdles to sing "the times that she lived."
    During a two-hour service that featured performances by pop stars Stevie Wonder and Christina Aguilera, the Rev. Al Sharptoneulogized James as a woman who rose from a tough childhood and poured her pain into her music.
Aguilera performed a version of "At Last," James' show-stopping hit and best-known song.
     James died at 73 at a Riverside, California, hospital on January 20 from complications of leukemia, prompting numerous tributes from artists and musicians who were influenced by her work, including Mariah Carey and Aretha Franklin.
