Rapper Rick Ross Wins His Name in Court Against "Freeway" Rick Ross

    Rapper Rick Ross has won his name in court against former drug dealer "Freeway" Rick Ross .
    TMZ reports L.A. County Superior Court judge  shut down a bid from the former drug dealer who tried to hoard the name.
 "Freeway" Rick Ross had filed suit against the rapper, claiming ownership of the name.  In fact, the rapper has strongly intimated in his song his name was inspired by the drug dude.  But the judge today ruled "Freeway" Rick has no case, and threw the lawsuit out.

India Launches First Bollywood 'Walk of Fame'

    India's Bollywood has launched its own Walk of fame. Indian cinema's "Walk of the Stars" was officially opened Wednesday on a seaside promenade in the Bandra district of Mumbai, the country's entertainment capital.
    Mumbai's new pathway will bear handprints and signatures of numerous actors along with a handful of life-size brass statues depicting some of the Indian greats.
   From one of Bollywood's acting dynasties, movie star Kareena Kapoor was the main guest at the launch in a nearby hotel, where she unveiled a statue of her legendary grandfather, the late Raj Kapoor, sitting on a bench.
     The Kapoor family are the first to be honoured on the street "because they're technically the first family of Bollywood," said Nikhil Gandhi, business head of the UTV Stars television channel that has set up the walkway.
    The original Walk of Fame in Hollywood was established in the 1950s and now displays more than 2,000 stars, drawing millions of visitors every year.

AMAA Awards To Hold At Eko Hotel & Suites April 22

   The Organizers of African movie academy awards(AMAA) have just announced the venue for this year's award. 
      The event has been scheduled to hold at Expo hall of  Eko Hotels & Suites on April 22 2012.Popular  nollywood actors and actresses attended the nominations party in Gambia few weeks ago .Lancelot Imaseun's Adesuwa, Kunle afolayan's phone swap , Somewhere in Africa got nominated for top awards .
   Haitan born actor Jimmy Jean Louis will host this year's AMA Awards.

Amy Winehouse' Family to get her $4.66 Million Fortune

    Late British singer Amy Winehouse' Probate documents showed Wednesday that she left behind assets totaling more than 4.25 million pounds ($6.7 million), with 2.94 million pounds ($4.66 million) remaining after debts and taxes.
    The record shows Winehouse did not leave a will,therefore the money will go to her parents. The documents list father  Mitch winehouse  as administrator of the singer's estate. Nothing goes to her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, whom she divorced in 2009.
     Winehouse shot to fame with her 2006 album "Back to Black," but struggled for years with drug and alcohol abuse. An inquest found she died of accidental alcohol poisoning.
The 27-year-old soul diva was found dead in bed on July 23 at her London home.
