Miss Universe"Leila lopez" plans Angola's makeover

     Angolan Leila Lopes has told the BBC her tenure as Miss Universe 2011 will improve the world's negative view of her country as a war-torn nation.
"Until two weeks ago, not many people could locate Angola on a map," the 25-year-old business student said.
Some people even still think that we live in trees, and we are always fighting, no no no, we have peace, and we have beautiful places," People have been waiting for an African Miss Universe for a long time, so I feel proud that after 12 years, there is an African Miss Universe,"We were at war for [almost] 30 years, but we've been at peace for almost nine years,""Angola is a fast growing country, everything is going perfectly now, and this is what I want to show to the world.
"We've also got amazing food, great weather; it's like the best place to be."
"As Miss Angola, my main project was working with children in desperate need, sometimes I didn't even have money or clothes or medicines to give to them when I visited them in hospital.
"But they were very happy to see me every time I went.
"I don't know why, but this is the power that the beauty pageants bring."

Jay-Z Responds To Lil Wayne's Diss, "That's Sport, That's Rap Music

    Jay-Z has blown off any negativity between him and Lil Wayne after the Young Money head released a diss track bashing him and his wife Beyonce.
As previously reported in Wayne's"It's Good" he raps,
"Talkin bout baby money? I got your baby money...kidnap your b*tch get that how much you love your lady, money."
According to Jay-Z however it's no big deal and it's all just part of the game.
He tells MTV,
"That's sport, that's rap music. Nothing is going to change but the participants. I don't even see why that's news."

Ragae star Vybz Kartel Arrested On Drugs Charge, Investigated In Connection With Murder

     Dancehall artist Vybz Kartel - real nameAdidja A. Palmer - was arrested on Friday in New Kingston, Jamaica for marijuana possession.
According to the Jamaica Observer, the musician is currently in custody after police found a body at a St. Andrews house that the 35-year-old visits.The entrepreneur who has his own liquor line, branded condoms and is looking to release his own shoe line in the near future is said to be assembling a legal team to fight the charge.
   His attorney Tom Tavares-Finson said: "What he has essentially been doing is putting his legal team together, which is myself, Michael Deans, and Christian Tavares-Finson."
No further details regarding the drugs charge have been released

New Music; Dezign - Fresh Guys ft Uti nwachukwu

      Nigeria's newest record label MVP Entertainment releases the new single from DEZIGN, a Nigerian hip hop/R n B singer titled "FRESH GUYZ." The new single features Big Brother Africa winner UTI and is produced by award winning producer Samklef.
     Dezign is currently working on his album to be released in 2012, however, he is expected to release a second single later this year.

Eddie Watson - My experience in Nollywood has been great so far

   Liberian-born Ghanaian actor Eddie Watson talked  recently to NEWSONE  about his experience in Nollywood as we reported earlier . see excerpt below
"I can say that my experience in Nollywood has been great so far. It's been great. The crew and artistes have been very respectful and friendly. They treat you with lots of respect and you forget your were in a working environment with people you don't know or have never worked with.
"The artistes I worked with, especially Queen Nwokoye who plays my wife and Ngozi Ezeonu who's playing my mother-in-law, have been very professional with such warm friendship you think we've worked together many many times.

The actor is currently on set in Nigeria where he is starring in a movie titled 'Lust'.

Jay-Z supports President barack Obama's re-election campaign

    Jay-Z has defended US President Barack Obama in the wake of the current economic climate and offered his support in his re-election campaign.
    The rapper insisted that the president has had a difficult first term because he has inhertited a "tough economy".

 "I still think he is the best man for the job, so yes (I will campaign for him)," he said. "I think he got a raw deal and he got a really tough economy. It's going to test his mettle, which is great."

   Jay-Z supported the US leader when he first joined the presidential race for the 2008 campaign and he celebrated with Obama at his inauguration ceremony in January, 2009.
  The rapper said he hopes Obama's success at the polls as the first black American president will encourage aspiring politicians of all backgrounds to aim for the top.
