      The 2011 Miss Nigeria Grand Finale held yesterday , Friday November 18, 2011 at the Expo Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island Lagos.21 year old  Feyijinmi Sodipo,  representing Ogun State was crowned Miss Nigeria 2011 .


     She walked  away with full Scholarship to be educated in an Institution of Higher Learning, anywhere in the world . Luxury Car ,One year salary package of N3million naira. VLISCO designer Wardrobe for 1 year from Vlisco 2012 Collection.
Fayejimi sodipo will  also enjoy an all expense paid trip to the Six Yards exhibition in Arnhem, Netherlands courtesy of Vlisco.

    Miss Edo was awarded 2nd runner up, then Miss Benue, 1st runner up. Miss Delta was decorated Miss Congeniality, while Miss Anambra was awarded Miss photogenic.
  Miss African Hostess was given to Miss Akwa Ibom and the best traditional wear was won by Miss Benue.

President Obama sends note for Rapper Heavy D funeral

     Heavy D was remembered through laughter and tear at a funeral service Friday that included humorous anecdotes from longtime friend Diddy and words of encouragement for his young daughter, delivered in a letter from President barack obama
"We extend our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. He will be remembered for his infectious optimism and many contributions to American music. Please know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers," read the Obama note, according to the Rev.Al sharpton who quoted from it during the service.
    Xea Myers, Heavy D's 11-year-old daughter, also spoke briefly, and told the audience that her father was "still here, not in the flesh, but in the spirit."
  Grace Baptist Church was filled to capacity for the service; it was so crowded that an overflow area was set up. Among those in attendance were Usher, Queen Latifah, Don King, Q-Tip, John Legend and Rosie Perez.
Heavy D died last week in Los Angeles at the age of 44. His family said the death was due to complications from pneumonia.

Produced by Chocolate City's Jesse Jagz, "Toast to the Good Life" is an original composition that features Nigerian rapper and producer, eLDee, fast-rising music sensation Tiwa Savage and R&B power-house Banky W. Commissioned by Hennessy Cognac as part of the build up to this year's Hennessy Artistry project, "Toast to the Good Life" is a call to fun lovers to forget their sorrows, and celebrate the good life.
The music video for "Toast to the Good Life" was directed by Gini and filmed in Lagos, Nigeria.

I didn’t buy a Rolls-Royce,I don't live fake life – Duncan Mighty

    Portharcourt based artiste,Duncan Mighty has denied that he recently bought a rolls royce phantom .Sources close to him have told an online publication  in clear terms that at no time did the Obianuju singer buy the multi million naira luxury car. According to a reliable source, Duncan did not buy any Rolls Royce.
Says the source, "The car is not even new in the first place and there is no way he would have splashed so much money, that is if he has it, on just a car considering that he is about to complete his house in Port Harcourt.
"He hired the car to shoot his new video in Abuja and he has since returned it. He didn't even bring it to PH."
   The source could however, not confirm whether the car belongs to Duncan's new benefactor, Chris Aire, the diamond merchant, but says Aire actually gave the singer a new Benz car recently as part of a deal they just entered into. In the widely syndicated picture of Duncan posing beside the car, he is wearing a shirt with the inscription, Chris Aire.
When finally contacted,he said;
 "I didn't tell the media I just bought a car.In fact, I don't know where they got the news from. I have things bigger than that (referring to the N47million car) but I am not like Lagos-based artistes who go about bragging about what they have and what they do not have.
"I don't live a fake life. I give back to the communities in my state; I give them boreholes, I give scholarships and I motivate youths. I have a construction company where I resume as a worker every morning but you won't hear me making any noise about my possessions because God has blessed me more than a Rolls Royce."

  P. Diddy gave an emotional tribute to late rap legend Heavy D yesterday, before attending a memorial service in New York City yesterday.Several celebrities including Flavor Flav and Chris Rock, turned up at the Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon yesterday, and P. Diddy decided to give an extra tribute on Twitter, crediting Heavy with his career and spoke of his kindness.
"Heavy D is the person who gave me my first chance in the music industry," he wrote. " He got me my internship at Uptown. He Believed when no one else did. My Heart is Broken. Pls pray for my man Heavy D and his Family."
Diddy attended the memorial service with his right arm in a sling following shoulder surgery, while comedian Chris Rock rushed inside the building.
