     It was a fantastic night as celebrities and fashionistas from all over Africa converged at Landmark Village Victoria Island Lagos on Sunday December 9, for a Black Carpet Dinner event that saw celebs in creative wears troop out in their hundreds to enjoy a fabulous night of music and dance, fashion and style, and a lot to eat and drink.

    The FAB fashion show, showcasing exclusive designs from VLISCO'S latest fabric collection; Gallery Of Poems and music performance made the evening colorful as models paraded the stylish designs made from VLISCO'S latest Fabric.The event turned out to be a massive gathering of notable personalities from different works of life that have a lot in common, especially a passion for Fashion.Entertainers such as WizKid, w4, Praiz, Eldee, Ushebebe, Yaw, Zaina and Yemi Alade delivered electrifying performances to the delight of guests; while hosts Jumai Shaba and Ebuka Obi Uchendu guided guests through the night.

"It's a honor to be able to bring all these great people together under one roof, to celebrate an art that is important to all of us. I'm excited about how everything has played out; and particularly happy about the FAB awards to 26 deserving recipients" the event's executive producer  Familusi  Akin  Babajide  says.

Big winners at the FAB awards include Kate Henshaw, Tiwa Savage, Uti, Toolz, Lynxxx, Gideon Okeke amongst others.FAB Magazine, Nigeria's leading international fashion journal. The all colour, all gloss fashion and lifestyle publication teamed up VLISCO, Beat FM, Trace TV, Barcardi and Nokia  to bring fashion lovers an unprecedented night of fun and festivity. Guests told journalists the event is one of the best fashion 'gigs' ever held in Lagos. It was also a night when some people were given awards for their achievement in the style industry.

   Guests included Waje, Omawumi, Adaora Oleh, Audu Maikori, Tiwa Savage, WizKid, Damilola Adegbite, Sasha P, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi, Uti Nwachukwu and W4. Others are Sam Onyemelukwe, Adebayo Oke Lawal,  Lamide Akintobi, Yaw, Ayo Animashaun,Mai Atafo, Noble Igwe, Eku Edewor, Toolz, Tosyn Bucknor ,Funke Bucknor and a host of others.

Obafemi Martins to spend N500M on Foundation

     Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Martins  hinted last month  that he is ready to set up his own foundation in memory of his late brother  in december after he  paid a visit to orictoritak motherless babies home in Kazan Russia where he gave out gifts to orphans and motherless babies 

     Obafemi Martins while speaking with Complete Sport Magazine  revealed  that about N500 million will be invested in his charity foundation to be launched on the 22nd of December in Lagos.
    We will launch the  Foundation soon and most of my colleagues in Russia, Italy and England have all confirmed to attend,"Martins said

    Contents of the mansion where Michael Jackson's lifeless body was found by convicted killer Dr. Conrad Murray go under the auction hammer next week.
      Some 500 lots of mostly paintings, furniture and ornaments are for sale from the Bel Air home Jackson rented while preparing for a series of comeback concerts in London.The ornate headboard on the bed where Jackson's body was found on June 25, 2009 was removed from the December 17 sale last month at the request of Jackson's family.
      But the "Thriller" singer did leave his mark on an ornate mirror in the bedroom, scrawling a message in felt pen that reads "Train, perfection March April Full out May" presumably a reference to rehearsals for London's "This Is It" concerts set to start that July. The mirror is part of an armoire and carries an estimated sales price of $6-8,000.

    The MIB duo of Agent Jay (Will Smith) and Agent Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) are back in action. When the world is threatened by an evil alien, Agent Jay travels back in time to 1969, where he teams up with the younger Agent Kay to stop an evil villain named Boris (Jemaine Clement) from destroying the world in the future. Emma Thompson will play take-charge MIB operative Agent Oh, who is monitoring a prison breakout.
Men In Black 3 will hit screens on May 23rd ,2012  in UK  and  May 25th  in US

Opa Williams Brings 'Night of A thousand Laughs' to an end

    The founding father of stand-up comedy in Nigeria ,Opa williams has decided to stop the comedy show,Night of a thousand laughs.
      Williams said  comedians  that started their own shows are  trying to recreate Night of a thousand laughs which leads to recycling  the same jokes and audience members that paid dearly for the show being shortchanged.He said he won't be part of the process .

    Night of a thousand laughs was launched in 1995 and has served as an avenue for comedians like basketmouth , I go dye, julius agwu,Gordons and many more to launch their career . The final editions will take place on 26th  in Benin and January 1,2012 in Portharcourt.

Jay-Jay Okocha, Ahmed Musa,Perpetua Nwokcha Nominated for 2011 GLO-CAF Awards

   The Confederation of African football has  released the list of nominees of this year's GLO-CAF Awards.The list which was compiled  through a vigorous exercise was released in cairo ,Egypt last Wednesday .

   Former captain of Super Eagles, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa of VVV Venlo of Holland, former African Women Player of the Year, Perpetua Nkwocha, were among the  nominees
    Okocha was nominated  for the Legend Award while Perpetua Nwokcha who distinguished herself at the last African Women's Championship in South Africa was nominated for Women Footballer of the Year.

    Musa, who played for the Flying Eagles at the last World Cup in Colombia, and also featured for both the national U-23 side was nominated for Most Promising Talent of the Year Award.
   The winners will be announced at the Awards Gala on Thursday, December 22, at the Banquet Hall, State House, Accra, Ghana.

Girl band Little Mix becomes the first group to win Britain's "X Factor"

     Girl band Little Mix became the first group to win Britain's "X Factor" television talent show on Sunday, beating hairdresser Marcus Collins in the final.
     The quartet, aged between 18 and 20, screamed with delight following the announcement of the outcome of a public vote, and performed a cover of Damien Rice's "Cannonball," which will be their debut single.
      Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock will enjoy a media frenzy over the coming days, and are guaranteed a recording contract.Sunday's show, which featured a live performance by Coldplay before a crowd of around 10,000 at London's Wembley Arena, brought to an end a series that has seen viewer ratings consistently lower than in 2010.
