Femi Kuti Loses Grammy Award to Malian Band 'Tinariwen '

Afrobeat Maestro Femi Anikulapo kuti has lost this year's grammy award. Femi who got nominated for the third time through his Africa for Africa LP lost the highly coveted award to Tinariwen, a band of Tuareg-Berber musicians from the Sahara Desert region of northern Mali.
Tinariwen won the newly-combined categories of the grammys . The world music album category had been previously been divided into traditional and contemporary categories.

Other Nominees in the category include Latin/Roots music band AfroCubism, South African male choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Whitney Houston's 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina has been rushed to Cedears-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
TMZ reports Bobbi ,the only child of whitney was taken out of the Beverly Hilton, where Whitney died yesterday, on a stretcher.
It was first reported that Bobbi was denied access to see her mom's body which led to an angry shouting at the police .
Bobbi Kristina is whitney's only child with ex-husband Bobby brown.

Praise the Lord!!! God has blessed us with yet another bouncing baby boy!!!!! I thank you Lord!! God is wonderful! Wife n baby doing fine!!
This is the couple's second child .Klint and Lilien got married few years ago and welcomed their first son ,denzel in february 2009.

American singer Jennifer Hudson has been chosen to pay tribute to her idol,Whitney Houston, at today's Grammy Awards scheduled to hold in L.A .

Grammys executive producer Ken Ehrlich said that Hudson will be featured in a "musical tribute." it's too fresh to do more at this time,It's not going to be a full-blown tribute, to me that feels like it's too early, it's too fresh at this moment, so we're working on something that will be really respectful and appropriate to Whitney's memory."He said
Prior to the news of Houston's death, Hudson attended a pre-grammy event where she discussed the impact Houston had on her career.

Hudson talked about her love for Houston's hit "I will always love you and said that she would "create duets with her because I wanted to sing with Whitney Houston."

Houston actually presented Hudson with her first Grammy. Hudson said meeting her idol "almost overshadowed getting the Grammy."
Whitney Houston died at age 48 yesterday in Beverly Hills Hotel while preparing for Clive davis pre-grammy gala Night.
