Jennifer Hudson On Witness List For Upcoming Murder Trial

   American singer and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson is on the witness list for the upcoming trial of a man accused of killing her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew.
   The chicago tribune reports, however, that prosecutors haven't yet disclosed whether Hudson will actually testify at william balfour's trial, which is slated to begin April 9.
  Balfour was the estranged husband of Hudson's sister, Julia. Hudson's mother and brother were found dead in the family's home on Chicago's South Side in 2008. Her nephew's body was found days later in a vehicle on the city's West Side.
   A court filing by prosecutors last week contains detectives' reports from interviews with Hudson after the deaths. According to the filing, Hudson told investigators she'd known Balfour since childhood and had advised her sister against marrying him.

    P Square's Chop my Money video which features senegalese-American star Akon and labelmate May D has become the most viewed Nigerian video (Music and Movie) within a week on youtube . 
   According to Youtube analytics and insight that celebregion has been monitoring since the video dropped , Chop my money has been receiving an average of 4,600 views / Hour . 
   The video was uploaded five days ago(Feb.23,2012),less than a week and has received  556,736 Views as at the time of filing this report which has never happened to any nigerian music or movie video before .
   Music enthusiasts predicted it may get to a million views within a week.
      The video which was featured on major nigerian music and entertainment websites immediately it dropped also appeared on few US-based websites.

    Veteran  actor James Iroha popularly known as Gringory is dead . The actor died today February 28,2012 . The death was confirmed by actress stella damasus and his son has also confirmed it. 
stella  tweeted:"Our mentor james iroha alias Gringory in new masquerade has passed on. RIP"
The family posted on his facebook page

  Contrary to report that movie actress/producer Laide bakare Okunfulure was involved in a car accident  last weekend with her new range rover SUV  in ogun state, she has refuted the report.
Laide said. 
"I was  never  involved in any accident not even with my  Range Rover Jeep" .

Malaysia Bans Erykah Badu's Concert Over Allah tattoos

       South East-Asian country ,Malaysia  on Tuesday banned a planned concert by American singer  Erykah badu after a photograph appeared showing the Grammy-winning singer with the Arabic word for Allah written on her body.
      The  popular singer was scheduled to perform Wednesday in Kuala Lumpur, but some Muslim groups said Badu was an unsuitable role model for young Malaysians after seeing a publicity photo of her with what appeared to be temporary tattoos of the word Allah on her bare shoulders.
   A government committee that monitors concerts decided to forbid Badu's show because she has "offended the religious sensitivities" of Muslims by posing with such tattoos, an Information Ministry official .
The 41-year-old, Dallas-born singer had already arrived in Malaysia. "She can remain here as a tourist but will not be allowed to perform", the official said.
Information Minister Dr.Rais Yatim  confirmed the decision on his Twitter account.


    Badu is said to be "worried and dismayed as she was slated to perform in an auditorium that can hold about 3,000 spectators.The Organizers of the concert is currently in contact with the goverment to lift the ban.

Actress Stella Damasus Becomes Women For Africa Ambassador

  Nollywood star actress Stella damasus has been appointed  the Women For Africa Ambassador .
   Stella was appointed alongside Uganda's Jennifer Ogole and Kenya's Gita Patel.
Stella said;
"Every minute of everyday a woman somewhere is bringing another being into the world. She nurtures, guides, loves and comforts her family. Despite prejudices, she forges ahead, endures hardship drawing on her inner strength. Today she has attained heights that were previously thought to be impossible. I am proud to be an ambassador for 'WOMEN FOR AFRICA' and I celebrate the achievements of African Women around the world".

 Women for Africa was birthed from a 20-year desire and passion to see women honoured and appreciated in a celebratory way.
 "Everywhere you go in life you see women. Focused, driven, determined, ambitious, resourceful, passionate, talented, inspiring are just some of the characteristics that are embedded in these women".

    The maiden edition of 'Women for Africa Awards' will be held in London 0n  19th May 2012.It will see a number of women of African origin from the categories awarded for their hard work, efforts, contributions and achievements.
