2face Idibia Proposes to BabyMama Annie Macauley [photos]

    Multi award winning Nigerian singer-songwriter 2 Face Idibia is off the bachelor's market. He proposed marriage to Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay,at a club in Lagos, last night.
     The soulful singer  planned a surprise engagement and Macaulay's friends were in on it, making a romantic statement, getting engaged on Valentine's Day.
  A surprised but happy fiancé expressed her excitement on tweeting, "Here is a big shout 2 evry1 who sent a Val message to me! Thank U soo,God bless U n I wish you d same n more. "TRUE LOVE" is a beautiful tin!" Congratulatory messages have been pouring in since.
     The wedding details have not been revealed yet.. Tuface has four more children with two 
other women ,sumbo ajaba and pero adeniyi with whom he is expecting his sixth child to be born in March .

   Ghallywood-Nollywood star actor,Majid Michel was in Los Angeles last weekend for PAN African Film festival .
   He took time off to show respect to the late whitney houston in front of Beverly hilton hotel where the singer died.

    As reported earlier,whitney houston's body was moved to her home New jersey and it has just  been announced that her funeral will be held Saturday in the church where she first showcased her singing talents as a child.
   The owner of the Whigham Funeral Home in Newark said today that the funeral will be held at noon at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark.The funeral home said that no wake would be held and that there would be no public memorial at Newark's Prudential Center, the sports arena that the family had discussed as a possible venue.

     The funeral service will be by invitation only, Carolyn Whigham said, reflecting the family's desire to keep the memorial more personal."They have shared her for 30 some years with the city, with the state, with the world. This is their time now for their farewell," she said.

Banky W to Sue Nigerian Website for Publishing False Story About Him

     There is no doubt that we have many Nigerian-based news fabricating blogs and websites.   Last week it was a false story about  9ice impregnating babymama .The latest celebrity to get involved is R&B star ,Banky W.
 A website recently published with the heading :Banky W makes a fool of himself
  It was reported that Banky W was billed to perform at an event last november with the legendary bongus Ikwue and other artists in Lagos .The event had top Nigerian dignitaries including the Vice-president in attendance.
 "After an hour,the event coordinators and master of ceremony went to the guest artistes and informed Banky that it was his turn to perform,but instead of honoring the invitation the "Ebutemeta " crooner went into argument with them telling them that as a star that he will be the last to perform.  After the hot argument and exchange of word,the master of ceremony invited the Otukpo born Bongus Ikwue on stage.    Ikwue sang his oldies which made the vice president to join him on stage  and after the performance all the dignitaries left ,then  Banky climbed the stage to perform the party hall was almost empty as only the policemen guarding the venue and some young people were around to watch his performance. 


Banky W has replied and denied the story, claiming it's totally false, Read below:

This story is almost entirely false. I will never understand why some press people take it upon themselves to unfairly slander and bring down the reputation that someone has worked extremely hard to build. Ladies and gentlemen, PLEASE do not believe everything you read. With this kind of "reporting", it's quite clear that some writers and publications are not worth the paper/website space they use. 
    This show was organized by Pilot NewsPapers, in December 2011 (not November). The "headliners" were the Legendary Bongus Ikwue, Omawumi, and myself.. as well as a couple of other acts. What actually happened, was that once we saw Mr Ikwue on the bill, I insisted and pleaded (along with Omawumi's Manager Mr Sunday Aare) with the Organizers that in no way will I agree for him to open for us. In my opinion, he was too much of a legend, and it would not be right for him NOT to close the show. Omawumi, myself and our respective bands made our way down to the backstage area to get ready to perform. It was then that it was told to us, that a lot of the dignitaries in the audience would soon have to leave to tend to other matters... in which case, it was important and only fair, that we let Mr Ikwue perform first, so that the dignitaries present, including Mr Vice President, and many of the Governors, and their entourages, would see him perform before they left. 


In all honesty, it was BECAUSE Mr Ikwue IS such a legend, and someone we have the utmost respect, love and admiration for, that we insisted on performing FIRST. When it was revealed that a huge number of the most significant/important Guests were going to leave early, we humbly and rightfully stepped down for Mr Ikwue to perform for the full house. Shortly afterwards, a lot of the dignitaries did leave as we had been told; but as professionals, Omawumi and I still performed for those that did not have to leave so early. Infact, Omawumi was the last performer of the night. These facts will be backed up 100% by Omawumi, her manager Mr. Sunday Are, Mr. Bongus Ikwue, and the Organizers of the show, Pilot Newspapers headed by Mr. Daniel Sanni; a man that was extremely kind and courteous to all of us, and who we are all grateful to. I also strongly believe that it doesn't matter where you are on the bill of a show; wherever you're put, you should perform like you're headlining; whether it's for 5 people or 5 million people. I'm honestly sick and tired of people being falsely represented by reporters who are too lazy to look for a real story; if this is the best you can do, please be careful of the targets you pick. I'm not the one. I will now proceed to sue this website, the writer, and everyone involved with propagating such nonsense until they delete this poor excuse for an article and post a full apology, or until a court of Law closes this business down; And for the rest of us... don't believe everything you read. It's sad that people already assumed this article was true and started posting all kinds of negative comments... what if I never saw it and/or didn't have the chance to defend myself against allegations that are, infact, 100% false? To make matters worse, other websites (like247Nigerianewsupdate.com, sturvs.com and other blogs) have rushed to further propagate this rubbish. Dear Mr. Akinnagbe Akintomide & NigeriaFilms.com ... I will continue to try and do the best I can for myself, my company, and my country regardless of how much you try to spoil my name. I truly, TRULY, have much bigger fish to fry. A word should be enough for the wise. It's either that or a lawsuit. The choice is yours. 

Singer Shakira Attacked by Sea Lion in South Africa

   Colombian singer-songwriter shakira has revealed that she was attacked by a sea lion yesterday in cape town,south africa while on vacation.The Hips don't lie singer got her  hands and legs injured. 
   She posted how it happened on her facebook page:  
   This afternoon I happened to see some sea lions and seals. I thought to myself how cute they were so I decided to get a bit closer than all of the other tourists and went down to a rock trying to pet them doing a baby talk while taking pictures... Suddenly, one of them jumped out of the water so fast and impetuously that it got about one foot away from me, looked me in the eye, roared in fury and tried to bite me. Everyone there screamed, including me. I was paralyzed by fear and couldn't move, I just kept eye contact with it while my brother "Super Tony" jumped over me and literally saved my life, taking me away from the beast. We both got our hands and legs scratched by the rocks while trying to protect ourselves. I believe what happened is that it confused the shiny reflection of the blackberry I was taking these pics with, with some sort of fish. It probably thought I was teasing it with food and then taking it away from it.
