Former Nigerian Footballer Rashidi Yekini is Dead

    Former Nigerian striker Rashidi Yekini  is dead. Rashidi who played for super eagles of Nigerian within early and late 90s died today May 4,2012 in kwara state.He was 48.Rashidi was born october 23, 1963 in kaduna.He scored Nigeria's first goal in a FIFA world cup and won African footballer of the year title in 1993 .
 He scored 37 goals in 58 appearances for Nigeria.Rashidi had been reportedly sick for a while.
  May his soul R.I.P!!!!

      Africa's number one artist 2face idibia has confirmed he got married privately to his long time partner Annie macauley . Several Reports claim 2face had a private wedding with annie at Ikoyi registry which was attended by only  close family and friends.

2face proposed to annie on february 14,2012 at club 10 , V.I Lagos . The big wedding is scheduled to take place soon.

Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys Dies at 47

          Adam Yauch, the gravelly voiced Beastie Boys rapper who co-founded the seminal hip-hop group, has died at age 47. Rusell Simmons ,former Def Jam CEO who released the Beastie Boys' first album, "Licensed to Ill"confirmed the death .
       Yauch, who's also known as MCA, was diagnosed with a cancerous parotid gland in 2009. He had undergone surgery and radiation. At the time, Yauch expressed hope it was "very treatable," but his illness caused the group to cancel shows and delayed the release of its 2011 album, "Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2."
    He hadn't performed in public since 2009 and was absent when the Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April

Usher,Ceelo Green,Justin Bieber,Linkin Park To Perform At BillBoard Music Awards

      Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Linkin Park and Nelly Furtado have joined the growing list of superstar performers set to dazzle the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, which airs live May 20 on ABC at 8 p.m. ET from the MGM Grand Arena.
 Previously announced performers include Justin BieberCarrie UnderwoodLMFAO and ceelo green.
   Adele takes the lead as a finalist in 18 award categories, while LMFAO is a finalist in 17 categories. Rihanna lands in 13 categories this year, after leading the pack with 18 category appearances in 2011. Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne each snagged a spot in 10 categories.

Uche Jombo ,Van Vicker Detained By Police For Bad Portrayal of Police in Movies

      Nollywood stars Uche jombo and Van vicker were detained by police on friday May 4,2012 . The stars were on the set of  a movie at a police station when policemen  from bode thomas police station came to arrest them.
Uche tweeted few minutes after the arrest  "So we are at d bode thomas police station watching this whole * police location drama play out! #iWeepForNigeria".
    It was later revealed by the police  that the stars were arrested for their bad portrayal of nigerian police in their movies .
 Both  movie stars have since been released after passing through few processes. Van Vicker was detained by lagos state security service few weeks ago for carrying stage guns without permission .

Beyonce Wins Journalism Award for Essence Magazine Essay

    Pop superstar ,Beyonce is set to take home a writing award from the New York Association of Black Journalists for a piece she wrote for the July 2011 issue of Essence Magazine.
    In the award-winning story, titled "Eat, Play, Love", Beyonce writes about a recent nine-month hiatus  The Grammy winner talks about how her time away from the spotlight helped inspire her creatively and  changed her life.
   The singer will receive the journalism honor at the association's Scholarship and Awards Banquet on May 15 in New York.
The superstar was recently named People Magazine's Most Beautiful Woman of 2012.
