     Desmond elliot and his family experienced but survived fire outbreak last weekend in his home at Lekki ,lagos , that doesnt stop him from visiting the house of hope orphanage in Benue state.

Judge multiplies Lawsuit damages against Prince by 40 to $4million

    Music icon, Prince was slammed with a lawsuit in 2008 by Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics Inc.And now he might have to shell out a fortune in damages.
      The perfume company claimed that both Prince and Universal Music Publishing Group had failed to help promote a fragrance inspired by his album 3121 released in 2006.
The company sort $100,000 in damages.But according to the New York Journal the company would be recieving 40 times more than that thanks to the judge.
In addition to their $100,00 the company would also get $3.9 million to cover the expenditures it had made in reliance on Prince's commitment to promote the perfume, 3121.

    But they cannot celebrate just yet as the award would have to be confirmed by another judge first.
Prince's lawyer told he Journal they intend to fight to ensure that the amount is not confirmed.
The fragrance company spent over $2.5 million for licensing privileges and agreed to give Universal a 50 percent cut of the proceeds.
In return, Prince was expected to help market the fragrance.


    The company's lawyer states that prince refused to give media interviews and stage in-store events and so the company was unable to meet the minimum licensing requirements and thus the licensing agreement had to be closed.
   The lawsuit states:"Since July 2007, despite repeated attempts by Revelations there have been virtually no communications from anyone who could commit to or coordinate any promotional efforts by Prince,"

    Show Dem Camp (SDC) have introduced a new voice to the Nigerian Music industry and are gradually becoming the Continents most exciting Hip Hop Duo. Their unique blend of African and Western sounds and influence create a sound that is rich in hip hop culture and vivid imagery.

       Dreamer Project heralds a new dawn in African hip-hop and has been 2 years in the works. The album is a collection of music aimed at highlighting the level of talent that currently exists in Africa. Show Dem Camp intends to set new standards with their infectious melodies, beats and their sharp and oftentimes poignant lyrics reflecting on their day-to-day experiences in modern Africa.


       Songs like Listen and Talk About It highlight the socio-economic and political situation in their country whilst Eyes on me deals directly with spirituality. The duo trade witty punchlines on Na So We See Am whilst songs like Farabale and Waiting for possess infectious hooks and a strong dose of commercial appeal.

Christy Essien igbokwe' burial activities begin today

         The Lady of Songs, Christy Essien-Igbokwe's one week long burial ceremony begins today september 03,2011  with two football matches scheduled for Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
     The first soccer game will be between Nollywood stars and star Musicians ,while the second will be betweeen Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and  Entertainment journalists .
    A Christy Essien-Igbokwe memorial symposium titled 'The Artist in the Socio-Political Development of a Nation' will be headlined by Dora Akunyili, chris anyanwu and onyeka onwenu and hold at the National Theatre, Lagos, on Monday, September 5, by 10am.
   
    As further tribute to the Lady of Songs, a red carpet event has been slated for Tuesday, September 6, at Niteshift Coliseum. It will feature 'The Five Divas' 
     There will be a musical stampede alongside simultaneous candlelight processions across the country on Wednesday and a public lying in state at 'Entrance A' of the National Theatre from 10 am to 3pm. A service of songs follows at the Airways Ground, Oba Akinjobi Street, Ikeja.

     A private lying in state holds on Friday, September 9, at her residence: 43, Talabi Street, Ikeja. It will be followed by a funeral service at Archbishop Vinning Memorial Church, Ikeja.

        Rounding up the burial event for the 'Seun Rere' crooner is an outing service on Sunday, September 11, at Archbishop Vinning Memorial Church.

Gunmen attack Daddy showkey at his residence for the second time in 4 weeks

    Gunmen have again attacked the Ojodu residence of popular Nigerian music star, John Asieno a.k.a. Daddy Showkey, and held him hostage for three hours
.  The attack is coming barely a month after a gang of four men raided his home and killed one of his aides.
According to PM News yesterday's attack took place at about 1.30 a.m., the gunmen attempted to gain entry into Showkey's residence through the main gate but could not as guard dogs barked ceaselessly to alert the musician and his neighbours.
    Sources said the gunmen were defiant and continued to shoot in the air for three hours before they later left in annoyance and promised to return again.
    Showkey confirmed the incident and later reported the matter at the Ojodu Police Divisional Headquarters, Grammar School Bus Stop, Ojodu, Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria. Showkey, who is planning to relocate his family, said "I might be forced to take up arms against the attackers because the Ajegunle people will not watch me being killed."showkey said
Before yesterday's attack, four gunmen had on 26 July, 2011, invaded Showkey's residence, killing one of his aides named Wale Suraj.
