| Rapper T.I freed from Prison ,moved to atlanta halfway house Posted: 15 Sep 2011 09:39 PM PDT  T.I. was initially released from the Arkansas prison and sent to the halfway house on Aug. 31, a month before his sentence for probation violation was up. But a day later he was back in federal custody after corrections authorities accused him of violating prison rules by discussing business deals with the two during his 375-mile journey to Atlanta. Attorney Steve Sadow argued that the rapper didn't break any rules because a VH1 reality show and book deal that was announced within hours of his release had actually been finalized months earlier. Sadow said Thursday that his client didn't intend to violate any guidelines and that he was pleased with the outcome. The Bureau of Prisons did not comment on the move. T.I. will now stay at the Atlanta halfway house through Sept. 29, when his prison term ends, said Sadow. After that, T.I. will be a free man, although he'll be on federal probation for another year. | ||

| Crippled Mother Of four launches album,begs for support Posted: 15 Sep 2011 09:42 AM PDT  Crippled mother of four, Patience Ogbeide is set to launch her album and will also be performing on stage for the first time in her career on 24 September , 2011 at the St. Leo Catholic Church, Toyin Street, Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria . The Sapele-born woman who lost her legs to an accident in 2007 while selling newspapers, explained to that the money realised from the launch would be used to buy prosthesis worth N10 million for her to be able to walk and resume work again. According to her, "I know I can work again and I am sure the prosthesis will help to get my life together. I am appealing to kind-hearted Nigerians and the governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola to attend the launch and assist me. "Despite my status, I still cook, fry chin-chin; I prepare bottled groundnut and I give my children to sell for me. I am advising and encouraging others like me not to be idle but to do something to help themselves," she stated. She attributed her success so far to her husband who she said has really motivated her and after 22 years of marriage has not stopped loving her. The album titled: "THANK YOU" is dedicated to all that have been supporting her, including her friends, media houses, medical centres and religious groups. The album is a joint effort between her and her husband and only one track out of the ten tracks was an individual performance where she thanked her helpers. Patience said: "I explained a lot about myself in the album; how my mother left me while I was a baby and I had to be raised by my step-mother; how I grew up in a family where my father had seven wives and 25 children and how I met my God-sent husband." It was announced yesterday that Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in the vampire films, has been cast in Olivia Twisted. The film will tell the Charles Dickens tale from the perspective of an older, female Oliver. Breaking Dawn: Part 1 is due for release on November 18. | Former car washer ,Landau Eugene Murphy Jr Wins America's Got Talent ,gets $1 Million Posted: 15 Sep 2011 07:20 AM PDT  Former car washer Landau Eugene Murphy Jr has been crowned the winner of this year's America's got Talent. The soulful vocalist who once supported himself by washing cars at an auto dealership sang his way to victory on Wednesday on "America's Got Talent." "Thank you so much for just believing in me," he said upon hearing his name announced at the end of the NBC summer talent competition.
"It's been a long, hard journey," he went on, barely holding back tears as the audience roared, "ever since I was a kid. And it's finally paying off." Murphy, a native of Logan, W.Va., wins $1 million and a Las Vegas headlining contract. With his rich voice and mild-mannered persona, Murphy had been a favorite of the judges and the audience all season. He beat three other finalists on the season-ending telecast. They included The Silhouettes, a troupe of youngsters from Arvada, Colo., who use shadow dancing to illustrate music. This enormous group, more than three dozen strong ranging in age from 3 to 19 years old, had charmed the audience with its visual effects. Viewers had cast their votes after Tuesday's performance show, when Murphy sang Frank Sinatra's "My Way." On Wednesday's broadcast, Murphy performed "You're All I Need to Get By" in a duet with Patti LaBelle. He will headline in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace next month, with the other three finalists also on the bill.  | ||

| American rapper Gucci Mane jailed for six months for pushing a woman out of a moving car Posted: 15 Sep 2011 01:20 AM PDT  Gucci Mane has been sentenced to six months in jail after admitting pushing a woman out of a moving car. The rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct. A judge also ordered Mane to complete 12 weeks of anger management classes, plus pay the victim $5,090 (£3,228) for her medical bills and a $3,000 (£1,902) fine. Police say Mane pushed a woman out of his moving car after meeting her in a shopping mall in Atlanta, inviting her for breakfast and attempting to offer her money to go to a hotel with him but she refused. The woman was treated in a hospital for "soreness and pain". Mane has spent time in jail for for cocaine possession and assault in the past.  | ||
