| NTDC hosts D'banj,Lagbaja ,sunny Neji ,Ayefele for Independence concert Posted: 21 Sep 2011 11:12 PM PDT  The concert will feature top artistes such as Lagbaja, Sunny Neji, and D'Banj ,many top comedians among others. Speaking at media briefing in Lagos , Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, the Director General, NTDC, stated that as the country attained 51 years of independence, the corporation intends to use the concert as a vehicle to bring back peace and stability that once existed among all tribes in the country and further boost the nation's quest for unity among the citizenry. "We must use this independence celebration to reconnect all the citizenry and build up the cordial relationship that for ages existed between all the tribes in this country. And evidence has shown that the easiest way to unite all Nigerians is through sports and entertainment. That's why we have decided to host this concert to help heal all the wounds caused by disunity and insecurity," Runsewe explained. He added that the concert, a free show, may enter the nation's calendar of pre-independence activities and therefore become a yearly affair. Revelers are expected to show their patriotic zeal by wearing green and white colour attires, which will qualify them to attend the show.  | ||||

| Fake Documents controversy trails Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes Posted: 21 Sep 2011 02:17 AM PDT  Argentine newspaper Infobae reports ; Lopes, with help from a man named Charles Mukano, participated in the Miss Angola UK pageant despite the fact that she lived in Angola, and not the United Kingdom, which is a violation of the rules. Mukano is also said to have helped Lopes obtain documents claiming she was a business management student at an English university.
The report goes as far as to say that Lopes might have bribed British judges to ensure a win. Though now the Miss Universe Organization claimed that all the allegations are actually false and they have never heard about the person named Charles Mukano,moreover the news of Cuban ancestry and knowing spanish language is also not true. If Lopes had lost the title, it would have been a great emotional cost to Angola. See how she was crowned below Firstly, it was Miss France that lamented she wasn't satisfied with leisa lopes's victory and now some people are raising documents issue.
