Black Eyed Peas to perform at Michael Jackson' tribute

     The Black Eyed Peas will perform at next month's Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales.They'll join Christina Aguilera, Smokey Robinson and Cee Lo Green at the "Michael Forever" show.

    Frontman Will.i.am ,who worked with Jackson before the pop star's death in 2009  said Friday "we all owe Michael such a lot."
    He said Jackson's songs "have been an inspiration to my whole life and certainly formed the soundtrack to my childhood."
     The Oct. 8 concert at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium will be hosted by actor Jamie Foxx.

     2011 MOBO Awards Nominee for Best African Artiste Category ,Seun kuti will perform at the Shrine today 24th September.Seun will perform with Fela Egypt 80 . 
    
     According to the band's management ,the show is to celebrate their successful musical of tour of Europe and the U.S which was also used to promote seun's album.
     The band would be embarking on a musical tour of Japan and Europe after the show in continuation of the world promotional tour of Seun's current album.

Nollywood to honour Ifeanyi Dike for successful kidney transplant in India

     Actors Guild of Nigeria( AGN) chairman  Board of trustees , Ifeanyi Dike travelled to faraway India three months ago to undergo a kidney transplant.
      He returned to  Nigeria last week after a successful kidney transplant in india.Ifeanyi upon disembarking from the aircraft went straight to the Church for prayers and blessings before heading to the prestigious Hallie Selassie Hotel, Aguda, Surulere, where members of the guild held a brief reception in his honour.
    To give "Thanks to God" for delivering one of their own from the claws of death, the Lagos State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN, plans an elaborate dinner night in his honour.
    According to Lagos AGN chairman ,Emeka Rising ,date for the dinner night will be announced soon.

80's R& B/Pop singer 'Vesta Williams' Found Dead in Los Angeles

       Vesta Williams, the 80's diva known for her powerful voice, was found dead in her California hotel room last night, according to reports.
      No immediate details surrounding the death were immediately released, and the Los Angeles Police Department tells E! News they have no knowledge of the tragedy as of yet. But that hasn't stopped the singer's many famous fans from taking to Twitter to offer up remembrances and condolences to the "Congratulations" soul singing diva.

     Williams scored a big hit with "Congratulations," a song about a woman who is distraught upon learning that her former lover is getting married. "Congratulations," with its vocal acrobatics and dramatic story, became a talent show staple.

Ghanaian actor ,Van Vicker turns Musician

     Actor cum producer Van Vicker will in no time prove to Ghanaian musicians that he is capable of singing as he is currently working towards releasing a 12-track album.
  According to a NEWS-ONE source, he was recording with Lynx Entertainment and had so far recorded a number of songs.
    "The album will be a collection of different genres of music including Pop, Afro pop and Hip Life. He is not sure how he will call the album yet. But all will depend on the final product," the source said.
    The music is being recorded at a time when there are a lot of media reports about him, especially on his alleged brawl with actress Tonto Dike.
     It is most likely his lyrical content will highlight some of his experiences with the media and also clarify issues on how he wants it to be. Van just wrapped up the shoot of his latest movie. He disclosed recently he would change the working title,' Distance'.

Maxwell, who disclosed that he's a Climax distributor in the Mid-West business unit, added that Nigerian Breweries Plc should be commended for introducing the product into the Nigerian market.
He said '' I love competition; but as a distributor, I can attest to the fact that this brand is doing well in the market''.  He however, urged Nigerian Breweries Plc to continue to conduct more samplings ''to ensure that more and more Nigerians enjoy the product''

Chris Brown Rewards Fan who returned his Rolex

     Chris Brown is a man of his word. The R&B superstar expressed his gratitude to the fan who returned his Rolex by treating her to a memorable evening.
        The $22,000 diamond-encrusted watch got lost in the audience during Chris' performance at the MTV Video music awards earlier this month. An honest fan named Alisha found it and gave it to the singer's bodyguard.
Upon hearing about the good deed, Breezy promised that he would pay her back and did so last night when his "F.A.M.E." tour stopped in her hometown of Cincinnati. Alisha was hooked up with two great tickets at the Riverbend Music Center, reports TMZ.
     He also invited her backstage to thank her in-person and hang out with him and his crew before the show. They bonded over cake and Chris autographed a picture to remind her of the special day.

Beyonce to Lauch her own record label, create boy band

 The 30-year old pop music legend-in-waiting has been in performing artist mode ever since she was nine. 
 Now after selling over 75 million records worldwide on her own and with girl band Destiny's Child, Beyoncé has her sights set on nurturing new artists.
     The 'Run The World (Girls)' singer told The Associated Press that she plans to  start up her own record label and pass on her music industry knowledge to young stars like her male counterpart Usher did with Justin Bieber.
"I am starting my own company, my label. I want to create a boy band," she said."I see so many male artists building these empires and passing their knowledge on to other artists and development. I see myself doing the same thing and hopefully other younger artists when they grow up and they have been around for 15, 20 years, they can do the same thing."
   Beyoncé, who publicly announced her pregnancy at last month's MTV Video Music Awards, recently appeared as a guest mentor on X Factor Australia.

Kevin Hart's "Laugh at my pain "becomes first American stand up comedy film to sell in West Africa

      Stand-up comedy specials often earn strong ratings on television and sell briskly on DVD, but rarely do they make it to the big screen.
          That's what makes the success of "Kevin Hart: Laugh at My Pain" at the box office last  weekend all the more implausible. The film, comprised primarily of footage shot during one of the comedian's shows at the Nokia Theater last February, opened last weekend in 99 theaters and collected $2 million. That amounts to a solid per-theater average of $20,000 for the movie, which played in 25 markets last  weekend including Los Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta.
     It was released on September 9, 2011 in West Africa as the very first stand-up comedy film to be released throughout the region through a partnership with Silverbird Cinemas and will  be released  in East Africa in the coming weeks.


     Celebregion.com had a phone chat with Kevin hart last night from Nashville , We asked  if he had been  to Nigeria before and he said no but he  cannot wait to be in Nigeria to perform live because he has been hearing a lot about Nigeria and his film doing well there .
