| U.S National tour of Fela! starts, Cast and tour dates announced Posted: 08 Sep 2011 10:18 PM PDT  fela Complete casting has been announced for the national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical Fela!, which will feature original Tony-nominated star Sahr Ngaujah and members of the original Broadway and London casts. Adesola Osakalumi will play the role of Sahr Ngaujah, in a principal cast that also features Melanie Marshall (Funmilayo), Paulette Ivory (Sandra), Rasaan-Elijah "Talu" Green (Djembe-'Mustafa'), Ismael Kouyaté (Ismael) and Gelan Lambert (J.K. /Tap Dancer/Egungun). The supporting cast is including Sherinne Kayra Anderson, Jonathan Andre, Cindy Belliot, Nandi Bhebhe, Catia Mota Da Cruz, Nicole Chantal De Weever, Jacqui Dubois, Poundo "Sweet" Gomis, Wanjiru Kamuyu, Thierry Picaut, Oneika Phillips, Jermaine Rowe, Daniel Soto, Adé Chiké Torbert, Jill Marie Vallery, Iris Wilson and Aimee Graham Wodobode. U.S. National tour will be launched in Washington, DC from September 13 to October 09,2011 at Sidney Harman hall. | Reggae Star Jah Cure Disqualified From MOBO Awards After Rape Conviction Posted: 08 Sep 2011 08:56 AM PDT  The singer - real name Siccature Alcock - was removed from the Best Reggae Act category, when the organisers found that he had been convicted of rape in 1999. Jah was also found guilty of gun possession and robbery and spent time behind bars before being released in 2007. According to The Sun, the star was deemed ineligible to be nominated for the award due to the "severity of the crime."Other artists nominated in the Reggae category include: Damian Marley & Nas ,khago alborosie and Mavado, and they have not disclosed who will replace Jah.
