Posters for London 2012 Olympics unveiled

                                                              The 12 posters
    Olympic officials on Friday unveiled the posters for the London 2012 games, which highlight 12 different takes on how to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic games.Leading British artists including the controversial Tracey Emin and Turner Prize-winner Martin Creed designed the posters, joining a tradition that dates back to 1912 and has showcased the works of others such as Andy warhol and David Hockney.The image features two kissing birds sitting on a branch above the words "You inspire me with Your determination And I love you."
  Members of the public will be able to buy posters of the 12 images for 7 pounds ($11.20) or as limited-edition prints.
A set of the images has been given to Queen Elizabeth II for the Royal Collection and they will be displayed at Prime Minister David Cameron's residence, 10 Downing Street, in 2012.

The Nigerian Gospel Awards debuts ,holds Nov.25

     The Nigerian Gospel Awards (NIGMA) will hold its Maiden edition this November. The award will take place on 25th November ,2011 at the National theater Iganmu , Lagos.
     Leading gospel singers like Evangelist Bola Are , Evangelist Obey Fabiyi , Funmi Aragbaiye and many others are billed to perform as disclosed by othe organizers of the award.The maiden edition of the award which is sponsored by Cadbury Nigeria Plc, Grand oak Limited and Masamdore Ventures will reward and recognize creativity among gospel singers and promote Nigerian gospel music internationally.

Echoes from Sammie Okposo’s Out of Africa UK Tour, plus exclusive pictures from the tour

 For all the lovers of Delta State born multiple awards winning artiste, Globacom Ambassador and United Nations Ambassador for World Peace, Sammie Okposo, what you are about to read is a cheering news.
  Three weeks after commencing his annual Out of Africa UK tour, feelers reaching us revealed that one of Nigeria's most successful music ministers is having the best of times in London.  The tour has been described as an invasion, amazingly by a gospel artiste from Nigeria.
 
    Okposo left the shores of the country on October 14 with his full band, D-X Generation to London for his annual Out of Africa UK tour. Speaking to one of the Out of Africa team from London, he said the tour has been going on well. "So far, we have done half of the tour. Aside performing at Black History Festival in Birmingham and Festival of Life at Excel Center, some of the venues of the shows we have done areCroydon Terbanacle, KICC Romford, KICC Wathamstow, Trinity Chapel Discovery Center Barking, RCCG Pathfinder Parish in Manchester, Gate Academy Grays and few others. We hope to find time to rest when we return to Nigeria".
 
    Speaking concerning the tour before he left Nigeria, Okposo said Out of Africa UK is an annual tour and he won't be fair to his fans in UK if he fails to take Out of Africa tour to UK this year. "We already have a loyal fan base in the UK as a result of our commitment to playing good music and they look forward to Out of Africa tour every year to interact with us and have a feel of the music live".
 
Before he left for the tour, Okposo released two new singles off his international album to be released by American based TMG Records anytime from now.

Baba suwe finally released but may be re-arrested by NDLEA

       Nollywood Popular actor ,Babatunde Omidina a.k.a Baba suwe has been released this morrning after he met his bail terms and conditions. 
   The news celebregion.com just got now is that the lawyers of the agency are perfecting plans to re-arrest the comedian in order to detain and place him under further observation.
     A reliable source inside the agency has informed newsmen  that its officials are working hard to present another legal hurdle for the actor, which may lead to his re-arrest.
      The spokesperson of the NDLEA, Mitchell Ofoyeju, would, however, neither confirm nor deny this, preferring to say that the agency would work within the mandate of the law in pursuing its duties. It was gathered that the agency's lawyers are working on a fresh injunction from the high court to restrain the actor after he gets his freedom today

      The agency was surely not happy with Justice Yetunde Idowu's order to release baba suwe today November 4 as she criticized them holding him without charges for weeks.
    However ,Femi Oloruntoba, the drug agency's lead prosecutor, told journalists in Lagos that Baba Suwe's case would not hurt the agency's image. "With all the scans and expert opinions, it's reasonable for us to hold onto him," the prosecutor said. 

    Baba suwe was arrested on October 12 at Murtala Muhammed international airport when   he wanted to board an Airfrance flight to paris

Muma Gee and Prince Eke postpone wedding

      River state born singer ,actress,Mumagee Uwame and Nollywood star actor Prince Eke Eklips announced November 18 as their wedding date before ,but now it has been postponed.
     According to a report  the wedding is being put on hold to enable Muma Gee complete the shooting of her new video , Port-Harcourt Is Back which is said to be a huge project and the completion date coincides with the wedding date.A new date would soon be announced

PMAN General Secretary Idowu Blessing slumps and dies

      The General Secretary of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) Idowu Blessing Akinnehin is dead.
   According to source Akinnehin slumped at the Igbosere Magistrate's Court yesterday and was confirmed dead at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.
Blessing was one of the defendants in a case brought to Court 3, Igbosere Magistrate's Court by the Special Fraud Unit (SFU). Former PMAN president Admiral Dele Abiodun and Champion Kunle Opio are also co-defendants.
    They were all in court yesterday when Blessing slumped. He was said to have been nursing an undisclosed ailment in the last two days but he decided to attend the trial yesterday as a law abiding citizen.
