D'banj Wins Best African Act at Ghana's 4syte music video awards

     Nigerian Music superstar, D'banj just won the Best African act award at the recently held Ghana's 4syte Music video award. The Award which is sponsored by telecom giant , vodafone took place at the Accra international conference center on saturday Nov,19,2011.
   He won the  coveted award with Mr Endowed Remix.  D'banj ,Naeto C, Cabo snoop , iceprince,Wizkid, D black ,Samini, and R2bees  were the nominees of the Best African act category.

Rihanna's We Found Love Video banned from airing before 10PM in France

   Rihanna has sparked a backlash in France after her We Found Love video was deemed too raunchy for daytime viewers.Officials at the Supreme Audiovisual Council of France have banned the gritty promo from airing on TV before the watershed at 10pm due to its explicit content.
   Authorities criticised Rihanna's "self-destructive" behaviour in the video, which features the singer smoking cigarettes, shoplifting and being spanked.
Last Month , An Anti-rape group in Britain attacked her,  branding the video a "disgrace" and questioning the message it sends to impressionable fans.
The clip for her provocative single S&M was also banned in more than 10 countries.

Rapper M.I Abaga debuts at No 9 on Billboard Next Big sound 25

    Chocolate city records rapper/producer MI Abaga is currently at the Ninth position on Billboard Next Big sound 25.
    The chart is for fastest accelerating artistes during the past week across all major social music sites ,statistically predicted to achieve future success as measured by Next Big sound.

President goodluck, dame and his Mother

      President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan celebrated his 54th birthday yesterday and  expressed thanks to God for keeping him alive.
President Jonathan spoke at the State House Chapel, after cutting a cake to celebrate his birthday, Sunday.
"I thank God for keeping me alive to discharge the responsibilities of my office," he stated, adding that, "when I decided to contest for the position of Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, I prepared my mind for any eventuality, and God has been faithful to me."
