Taylor Swift,Adele, Nicki Minaj win American Music Awards- Winners List

       Country sensation Taylor Swift came up the big winner at the American Music Awards Last night presented at the Nokia Theatre ,claiming three trophies including the top honor, artist of the year.
   She tied for most wins with British singer Adele, who also earned three trophies for female pop artist, best album with smash hit "21" and top adult contemporary performer.Adele, who is recovering from vocal cord surgery, was not on hand to accept her awards.
      Rapper Nicki Minaj was the night's other big winner with two AMAs in the rap or hip-hop category: favorite artist and best album for her "Pink Friday."

    Minaj opened the show singing her smash hit single "Super Bass" in a metallic outfit that had two large speakers on her bottom, and after winning best hip-hop album for "Pink Friday" was overcome with emotion.

The twilight saga-Breaking Dawn part 1 tops worldwide Box office with $283.5 Million

       The twilight saga  has staked out another huge opening with a $139.5 million first weekend domestically and a worldwide launch of $283.5 million.
    The domestic total gives "The twilight saga-Breaking Dawn part 1 — Part 1" the second-best debut weekend for the franchise, after the $142.8 million launch for 2009's "The Twilight Saga: New Moon." The dancing penguin sequel "Happy Feet 2" stumbled in its debut, pulling in just $22 million over opening weekend making it number two on the chart.

The Guardian Publisher, Alex Ibru dies at 66

       CHAIRMAN, Publisher of The Guardian, Dr. Alexander Uruemu Ibru has passed on. He died at about 1.30pm on Sunday, November 20, in the course of an illness. He was aged 66.
      Ibru was born on March1, 1945, the youngest of the famous Ibru brothers who hailed from Agbhara-Otor, in today's Delta State and whose entrepreneurship made the name almost synonymous with business in Nigeria. He attended the Yaba Methodist Primary School(1951-1957), Ibadan Grammar  School(1958-1960), Igbobi College, Lagos(1960-1963) and the University of Trent (formerly Trent Polytechnic)(1967-1970) where he studied Business Economics. 
     After working briefly in the family business under the tutelage of his older brother and patriarch, Micheal C.O. Ibru, Alex Ibru launched out on his own and soon became one of the most successful young businessmen in the country.
     He founded The Guardian in 1983 with a mission to make it one of the five best English language newspapers in the world. It soon established itself and has since remained the flagship of the Nigerian press.
Burial arrangements will be announced soon by the family.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Celebrate Five Years of Marriage

     A-list couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes celebrated their five-year anniversary on friday. Cruise and Holmes met in 2005 and starting dating only a short while later. After their first date, which was enjoying sushi on Cruise's private plane, the two were smitten. The got marriedon November 18, 2006 in Italy at a ceremony of about 150 people
They have had a  wonderful marriage and a 5-year-old daughter, Suri, to show for it.
