Rick Ross ,Sean Kingston to perform at the calabar carnival

    American Music stars Rick Ross and sean Kingston , are among the dignitaries lined up to perform in this year's edition of the calabar carnival.
     Jamaican-American singer, Sean Kingston who recently survived Jet-ski accident would perform at a Reggae Night scheduled to hold on the 16th of December , at the U. J. Esuene Sports Stadium.Nigerian artistes like  King Wadada, Nyore,and many others would also perform on the same stage
    American rapper, Rick Ross, would rock the city on Calabar Rocks Night on December 28, alongside the likes of P-Square, Banky W, Wizkid, Ojb Jezreel, Stunt and Julius Agwu at the U. J. Esuene Sports Stadium.
    Also to perform in this year's Calabar Festival is Kool and the Gang, an American jazz, R&B, soul, and funk group. The soul and funk group would perform at the Governor's Masked Fete on December 20, at the Tinapa Water Park.

   Knighthouse's Pop princess Mo'Cheddah drops a video for her chart-topping single 'See Me' ft Phenom .See Me' is the first single off her upcoming sophomore album. So far not much has been revealed about the album rumored to be titled 'D.I.V.A', but an extensive features list includes a track with Timaya, a SauceKid 'reunion' & the much anticipated WizKid collabo.
'See Me' was directed by award-winning Clarence Peters for Capital .

Eyo Festival holds in Lagos tommorow

     One of the biggest festivals in Nigeria, Eyo festival will hold in Lagos tommorow 26th November ,2011.Eyo Festival, the biggest festival in Lagos  state is being staged in honour of the late Pa Yesufu Abiodun Oniru, at the Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS.
    The Lagos state Commissioner for Transportation, Comrade Kayode Opeifa  has disclosed   that  between the hours of 6 a.m.  and 7p.m. tomorrow, there will be traffic restrictions on some of the routes on the Island.

    Nollywood actor and chairman , Board of Trustees of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Prince Ifeanyi Dike, who  of recently survived a kidney ailment, has offered free medical check-up to 20 Nigerian actors
According to Source ,Dike said that after his kidney-related ailment and transplant, coupled with the news of Nigerian stars including Enebeli Elebuwa, Segun Bucknor and others, suffering from one ailment or another , he has contacted three hospitals in India and have promised to give 20 Nigerians free medical advice and check-up  
     He further explained  that Global Forteis  through Prince Ifeanyi Dike Foundation, are willing to attend to the elderly stars at no cost, all that is required of them is to pay for their flight, accommodation and drugs if required, the rest is free.

      The Afrotastic Diva, Muma Gee, is back, musically! She has just concluded the shoot of the musical video for her new song entitled, "Port Harcourt is Back." It was directed by her husband, Prince Eke, alongside popular Lagos music video director, Akin Bakare (Ak-One) and Mr. Frank Macaulay, a cinematographer from the UK.

   The song celebrates Port Harcourt and highlights the tourism qualities of the state. The video was shot at notable landmarks across the city of Port Harcourt including the airport, the stadium, Isaac Boro Part and major streets. It also included a horse-driven cart ride along major roads in the city.

   Speaking about the project, Muma Gee, stated that she has always wanted to do something to immortalize Port Harcourt. "This song gives me the opportunity to make that dream come true. I did the song during the closing ceremony of the National Sports Festival which held in Port Harcourt earlier in the year and the video would help entrench it into the minds of the people of Port Harcourt."

      She and her husband have also announced a definite date for her wedding. It would hold on Friday, December 23, 2011 in Port Harcourt. A traditional Wedding had been held since last year in Muma's hometown in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State but the couple had delayed on the wedding due to their different professional commitments. Muma has been working on a new album while her husband who is a Nollywood actor has been busy on a number of movies.

Muma Gee last released an album in 2009. It was entitled THE WOMAN IN QUESTION and featured Ghana's Samini, Terry G, K-Solo and Cobhams Asuquo. She didn't fully promote it and left Lagos when she met her husband. They have been based in Port Harcourt since and live on Muma Gee Avenue somewhere in the city. The husband who is a Nollywood actor takes off from there to different locations mostly in the east for his movies. Muma performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the National Sport Festival which was hosted by the Garden City.

  The wait is finally over as the most anticipated movie in recent times, Two Brides and a Baby gets to the cinemas.
After a very successful premiere at the Genesis de Luxe Cinema at the Palms, Lagos, the movie is now set to hit the screen in spectacular fashion in most of the cinemas nationwide. The movie which is presently getting 'thumbs up' from industry practitioners is now showing at cinemas on the Lagos and Abuja axis.
Two Brides and a Baby is presently showing at the Genesis cinemas in Lagos and at Silverbird cinema in the federal capital territory, Abuja. The movie which has already attracted the attention of movie lovers on the social networking platforms, twitter and facebook will enjoy three viewing slots daily at the cinemas listed above according to the producer's twitter account. It promises to hold the audience spellbound as there are no dull moments.
The movie which was shot at exclusive locations in Lagos boasts of a modest but impressive cast  which parades the likes of the delectable screen goddess, Stella Damasus, the unassuming but firm, Kalu Ikeagwu, Blessing Egbe, Chelsea Eze, O.C. Ukeje, Okey Uzoeshi, Keira Hewatch and others.

Two Brides and a Baby was produced by the model cum actress, Blessing Egbe, an actress who is fast carving a niche for herself in the industry.

    The movie centers on the story of Bankole (O.C Ukeje) and Keche (Chelsea Eze), a day to their wedding, Kole's ex girlfriend (Stella Damasus) suddenly shows up during their wedding rehearsals. Many events unfolded going into the day of the wedding.

NDLEA to appeal Baba suwe's N25M Judgment

       The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said that it will appeal against the judgment by Justice Yetunde Idowu asking it to apologise and also pay the sum of N25 million to popular actor and comedian, Omidina Babatunde, popularly known as Baba Suwe.
     The agency's director of prosecution and legal services, Mr. Femi Oloruntoba, in his reaction said the judgement did not reflect the facts before the court.

      According to Oloruntoba, "the judgement is not a reflection of the facts before the court. It is a misapplication of the law as it relates to power of law enforcement agencies and the liberty of citizens. We shall appeal as the judgment cannot stand the test of time."
    NDLEA said its position is that Omidina was treated fairly and professionally while in their custody.It also described claims by the comedian that he was treated like a common criminal as untrue.
"It is on record that he was treated in accordance with the law, particularly with respect to the observance of his right to human dignity, presumption of innocence, search and other investigative processes in line with best international practices. He acknowledged same in court before the public on Tuesday 1 November 2011,"
   "There are no grounds to doubt the efficiency of the machine when about seven suspects that tested positive about the same time the actor was arrested have all defecated the drugs they ingested. NDLEA said in a statement.
