Dandison strongface is the first contestant to be Evicted from Gulder ultimate search Posted: 08 Oct 2010 07:11 AM PDT The contestants were shocked to the marrow when the anchor, Bob-Manuel Udokwu told them the rudiment of the day's challenge, an individual task that will at the end, lead to the first eviction in the camp. It was a puzzle game where the contestants were blindfolded and made their way through a maze and then they were made to unravel a word puzzle after their blindfolds were removed. To the chagrin of others, the "son of the soil" Adeleke beat others to it by coming out first in unravelling the riddle. Mercy and Strongface were the last on the challenge. Eventually, Mercy got it and Strongface consequentially became the first casualty. For being the first winner, Adeleke won a prize of a flint, the primitive tool for making fire. The joy of all the contestants was so glaring because what Adeleke won was the scarcest object needed for their survival in the jungle. The flint brought an end to their hunger as they all went back joyfully to their camp to cook their food. In the food preparation scrimmage, the struggle to make the fire became a spectator's delight as all of them lacked the skill of using the flint to spark fire. They were on it for about two hours. It got to a dramatic end when they had to use cutlass to cut a chunk of weave-on from Mercy's hair in order to enhance the fire making! Adeleke once again found solution to the situation. They all ate to their fill but not without squabbles over sharing formula of the jollof rice. Mute was the word when Dandinson Strongface was ordered to evacuate from the camp by the Council of Elders at the Place of the Talking Drum. He was sent back to the camp on the order of Bob-Manuel, the spokesperson of the Council of Elders, to go and stop his clock from running which symbolizes his exit from the contest. At exact fifteen minutes past eight in the night (8:15pm), Strongface's clock stopped running in the forest. His eviction brought a "wakeup call of reality" to his fellow contestants and everybody withdrew to their shells waiting for whose turn it would be next. |
