Large International Airport At Malaga Spain

Twelve million passengers, visitors, or holidaymakers enter the Costa del Sol through the Malaga airport each day. The Malaga airport is through to be among the best and most efficient in Spain. Malaga is surrounded be Costa del Sol attractions such as golf resorts. There are two terminals at the airport. Due to the heavy traffic in this airport, they have become very efficient at offering services that meet the needs of travelers.

Information on these services is available at the information kiosks located in the entrance hall of the terminals. These are easy to find. Most passengers enter through terminal two. This is a large international airport at Malaga Spain. Over 120 airports throughout the world offer flights into Malaga. For this reason, it's possible to get good deals on flights. The downside is the additional traffic in and around the airport. This is another reason to allow for extra time when your vacation is over.

If you arrive early and want to eat, most of the restaurants and fast food places are located in Terminal one. There is also a pharmacy in this terminal. A few restaurants are located on the second floor of terminal two. Most of the shopping is also located in terminal one. There is a duty free shop in terminal two. Most airlines offer assistance to passengers with disabilities. The only thing to remember is to contact your airline and airport in advance of your departure.

If you, or someone in your party, will need assistance in getting around the terminal, help is available. Notify the airline in advance of any special needs. Once you arrive at your terminal, you have several alternatives for reaching your final destination. There are many ways to get where you are going. The first, and maybe most convenient is to hire a car. There are several car rental agencies in the airport terminals. Either way, reserve in advance to be sure the car you want is available. Other car rental companies can arrange to pick you up as you land. There are many transport alternatives that offer sightseeing

There are many options for public transportation from the Malaga airport as well. A train transfer from the airport is located outside the international terminal. Your trip from the airport to the center of the city will be twelve minutes in length. All trains operate on the half hour from morning till night. The trains come at half hour intervals, so you won't have to wait long. A taxi is available at the airport to surrounding towns.

The bus schedule is available at the airport information desks. Since terminal two is the most used terminal, when you leave this resort city, you may want to arrive early for your flight home. One of many detailed maps gives you the chance to see most of the city. Allow plenty of time to check in. As with most airports, security is a concern and extra time is needed.
