Complete Guide To Website Making

By Greg Pierce

"To many people, making a website is a job for computer experts because it is a task that is so complicated to do but this is wrong. This article is for those who are beginners and for those who are planning on making a website in the future and we will be covering the simple basics steps that you need to follow to create your own website.

There are two very important things that you will be needing and you can never make a website without them. First is a domain name and second, a web host. So, the first step you should take is to get yourself your very own domain name. You will have to pay a yearly fee, usually ranging from $8.00 to $35.00 each, to a domain name registrar or any authorized dealers for the right to use that domain name.

Then, sign-up for an account with a web host. You will be needing a web host to host your website on a web server so that people could connect to your site. There are many web hosting companies available today. The bandwidth size and disk space, and the availability of supports to other kinds of software such as MySQL and PHP applications are the things you need to consider. Unlimited disk space and bandwidth are usually offer by web hosting companies and with these offers, you will be able to handle as much traffic as you want.

The creation of your website is the the most important step. To make your own website, you will be needing a website builder software. You can get this for free from some web hosting companies after you sign-up for an account with them or could also be available commercially, but if you are just a beginner, I suggest that you go for free website builder software. Software from outside vendors are a little costly and are a little bit hard to use, unless you are already familiar with it.

Remember to keep your website simple and attractive Make your website user-friendly so that people would be inclined to stay on the site. The front page of your website will certainly be very important and shall need proper planning. If it people don't think your site has what they need they will immediately browse to another site, so make sure that people will know what your site offers in a quick peek so that they will carry on and browse thru your pages.

Finally, when your done test your website by using different popular web browsers to ensure that people wouldn't have problems opening it and your done. Once your done with your testing, your website is now fully functional. Remember to update the content and make it relevant. Have a great website!
